I started ripping my old engine and tranny out to make room for a JDM A20A3.
.
Here's the motor before:

The old motor and trans:

Started cleaning the bay a bit:

How she is at this moment:

I still have to paint some parts and clean a little more, but the new motor and trans should be in by Sunday.

Heres a couple of goodies I'm putting in too:

Honda window visors, Ractive 9mm plug wires and I re-painted my Pacesetter's with VHT's Flame Proof Header paint. Generic intake for the 87 Prelude Si(A20A3) and I may not use the Weapon-R coilovers.

I'm really hoping to get my car the way I want by the end of the year.

More updates and pics to come...............................

Progress is looking good so far. I love it when people clean their engine bay while the motor's out & paint random bits to go back on. Makes the finished result look so much better (Y) Just thought i'd point out there's no such thing as a JDM A20A3, only a JDM "A20A" with nothing on the end :D

Really?

What about the JDM Accord Coupe? :D

This car is totally JDM but build in America and imported in Japan. It's engine is the A20A3 with the serial number 5000001+ for both years it was made. They came with an automatic F4 transmission only with serial number 8000001+ for 88 and 9000001+ for 89.

This is how you can tell which year the engine is exactly (if the tranny hasn't been replaced).

This is a true JDM car but it's LHD.

There is not a JDM A20A3? Why if you google it it shows one for the 1998-99 honda accords? They say its a 1955cc,122hp,9.3:1 compression non vtec sohc motor? Im just asking because i seen this but thought it was a missprint sence it said 1998-99 accords?

Well, wether it's JDM or not, ah well. It's got wayyyyy less miles than mine, no blown headgasket and looks to be in better shape. I needed something fairly cheap, but would last me awhile. Weather's alot better today, I'll see if I can get some more pics.

I know I need to clean the Valve Cover. Things keep coming up and I'm getting pressed for time. The Block and Tranny will be in the car by Sunday though. They have to be, I need to return the engine hoist on Monday.

Hmmm do I see Konis? :D

Yes, Brand New in box Konis. They were just used for Display so a bit dusty and some paint chips, but NEVER installed.

Ya, I started to get a little crazy with the Red, so I stopped.I think it'll look O.K. under the hood though. If not, I can always change it later.

I don't know that I'd put in just one motor mount insert. It may prematurely wear out the others...

But nice car!

i didn't think good things would come of that red harness, but i actually don't hate it installed. wouldn't do it to mine, but hey, your car! ditch the wheels and drop it and maybe spraypaint it or something.

Believe it or not, the car is already dropped 1.5"s on H&R's, but I may pick-up some Ground Contol Coilovers later to give the front end a little more of a drop.

I love these Wheels, I'm not getting rid of them.

I'm not going to paint these bumpers cause I've got another set that I'm going to be installing my Erebuni Body Kit on. After that's done the car will get painted.
