cant shift into gear accord89

after changing cv boot i can't change into gear 2 , auto accord 89 si 2.0L, i can shift it into 2 but it wont stay there it just goes back to d3

I think you crimped your shifter cable. Get under there and check it out.

check your engine mounts and check that the exhaust isn't touching the cables or the cable isn't loose.
