Just the other day, I noticed that I had to use a lot more effort to push in the brakes than before. Does this mean I should replace the fluid, the rotors, pads? Or could it be something worse.

Sounds like the booster if going, dones it make any sounds when you press the brakes, like a wooshing sound?

yea sounds like either you have a bad booster or it's not getting vacuum (highly unlikely, your motor would probably be idling funky)

probably the booster....check vaccuum.

or would a siezed cylider or caliper also do that?
Do you stop fine other than that?

Hi:

I'm having the same problem with my 89 Accord. Would you guys recommend getting one from the junkyard or would this be better if bought from the dealer. Also, anyone of you guys ever replaced this thing before, was it easy/hard?

Thanks,
Claude

You can get remanufactured ones and give back the old one. I got the booster for $100 and the master cylinder for $45. They should last quite as long as OEM.
