Okay...I know this has been asked alot....

But I found DIY's for a push start with the key in. I need keyless start all together..

So here's how I think its supposed to go.

2 - 30 amp switchs.
1 - push button

The first switch goes to the On accesories.

The second switch I would believe would connect my wires for slot II on the key position. *can't remember the colors right now*

and the push button would connect wires. BLACK-white and WHITE-black to each other. *this is for my starter motor, so I don't fry it on a switch*

Am I thinking about this right. Cause I don't think I would need a relay if I set it up this way.

Any help would be greatly welcome. Also if you have a diagram of the ignition switch would you kindly post or link. cause my Haynes manual only has the Canadian model which has different color codes for the wires.

So I take it no one knows anything about the ignition switch wiring?

cause right now anything would be great. :P

Off topic: They could be all from you, but I'm not sure how this site works with that.

Well, just goes to say: You cannot expect an answer from someone in less than two hours.

Pull one of your lock cylinders and take it into a locksmith. It'll be way cheaper that way. Don't beanertize your shit with a bunch of $3 chinese switches.

Well I'm not using 3$ switchs. they were going to be 10$ switches. Since this is one of the things I really wanted to do. this is just causing it to happen sooner than later.

In that case:

You'll also need to remove the the stering wheel lock bullshit to make it work...

Thank you.

So by what it looks like. I need to cross. 3 switches instead of 2 right.

[S] = Switch
[B] = Button

[S]I: W/R and W/Bl
[S]II: (1) W/R, W/Bl and Bu/W
[S]II: (2) W, Bl/Y and Y
[B]III: W, Bl/Y and Bl/W

Would that be correct?

Or just use a DPST (double pole, single throw) for II.

This is where I start asking more questions. :)

https://www.egr.msu.edu/eceshop/Parts_Inventory/images/spdt%20round%20handled%20switch.jpg

That is what your talking about correct.

if so do I need 2 or one. Since I need six wires going in.

since II has 2 sets or wires running apart from each other. I think

Whoops, I meant DPSP (double pole, single throw)

Bottom center is the one I would need right.

:D that makes a whole lot more sense.

So I just match them up on there huh...

I guess one side would have one set and the other would carry the other set?

LX-incredible

Bottom center is a DPDT. Two of the contacts would be unused in an "on-off" switch. Bottom left is a DPST. Bl/Y and Y would be connected to the same terminal on the "II" switch and Bu/W would by itself as W/Bl is already taken care of with the "I" SPST switch... It's looks more complicated then it is because the ignition switch turns off the radio, AC, and other bullshit while starting (III). Check the wiki link, I'm not very good at explaining basics.

Okay.

So I think this is right.

Now the button is where I'm confused.

Since I don't have to run multiple lines to each other.

What would be connected the push buttons. Bl/W

Would it be a power source. like the "ON" Switch. *AKA [1]*

*edit*

wait. wouldn't the button still use All 3 wires. since its just a temporary connection?

so a three way button Connecting, W, Bl/Y and Bl/W should do it wouldn't it?

LX-incredible

No they'll already be connected with switch II on. Push button is for starter signal only, connecting W and Bl/W.

For switch II:

W/R _/ _ Bu/W
W _/ _ Bl/Y & Y

What about Bu/W cause its on Switch II

and isn't W/R _/ Bl/W switch I

or would I mix I and II into the same switch.

*head going around* lol

wait let me think about this.

Switch I is W/R _/ _ Bl/W
Switch II is W _/ _ Bl/Y & Y

Where does Bu/W go from switch 2?

Also what would connect to

Bl/W to let it know to start up. Cause if its only 1 wire to the button it won't send a single anywhere.

Button III Bl/W _/ _ ???

LX-incredible

Corrected.

W/R _/ _ Bu/W
W _/ _ Bl/Y & Y

Corrected.

W/R _/ _ Bu/W
W _/ _ Bl/Y & Y

Okay now what about W/Bl

Cause

I is W/R & W/BL
II is W/R, W/BL & Bu/W --also---W, Bl/Y & Y

*edit*

would it be like this.

Switch I---W/R _/ _ W/Bl
Switch II--- W & Bu/W _/ _ Bl/Y & Y
Button III--- Bl/W _/ _ ???? *possibly Y cause I think that's stereo power, which would give the power to the start just until I let go of the button stopping the starter.*

Switch I:

W/R _/ _ W/Bl

Switch II:

W/R _/ _ Bu/W
W _/ _ Bl/Y & Y

Push button:

W _/ _ Bl/W

Switch II will need to be on to start.

So more like this.

BTW Off on the switch Is either ------------> or <--------------- Not back and forth from the screen.

Also I would flip Switch I to get power for acessories, then Flip II, I guess for all the power needed for things, and to keep the motor running, and then Push III until the motor starts, let go of III, and go.

To turn off I would flip II off first, then I off after that correct.

sorry its just that I no longer have a key to my car. and its 70$ to get one made.

Its rather frustrating.

I got new keys cut for my civic at the Honda dealership; they charged me just $8. I was asked for car registration and my I.D. I had struggled with ill-fitting keys for years; it is so nice to have keys that work!!!
I left that original key unused and got another done elsewhere; that way I'll always have a fresh key to make copies from.
The other way to get a key is what was suggested: take the lock and go to a locksmith to get a key cut.

Now, if you want a start button maybe there is a good suggestion below,

http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/1614/paganizondaf20055.jpg (http://img6.imageshack.us/i/paganizondaf20055.jpg/)

Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us)

Anyway, the car this start button belongs to has keys anyway; you can start the car with the keys or with the start button but the key must be in the ON position...

Back to the beginning: What the fuck? Bellevue Honda made me a key (without an original) for $4.99 plus tax.

Never thought about asking my Honda dealer.

But the problem is that I would have to remove my door key. *which I'm replacing my doors*

This is one of the things I wanted to do after seeing bobafett's accord. I thought it was really wicked, and its something I really want.

so with or without a key its happening.
