I'm looking for a favor, I need someone who has a non cruise control steering wheel, to pull the wheel off and take pictures of the slip ring, or horn contact ring assembly, I changed mine to cruise, and now with the wood wheel, i can't remember how the horn slip ring worked, i need to convert it back to a non cruise slip ring assembly, and yes they didn't all have cruise, my dx was non cruise factory. also if someone has got the slip ring or contact ring for a non cruise car and they don' want it PLEASE get ahold of me. I have searched and searched and I just can't find the info i need or the slip ring assembly

Ok I had ordered one,was told it was the last one in the country, now i've been informed that it's not available. f someone sees one at a yard with no cruise control on the wheel, PLEASE get me the horn contactor piece that screws on to the combination switch.

ok thats the part on the wheel right? can you get a picture of the other piece on the steering column? the wheel part looks just like the grant kit,

A lot of these cars in DX form came without cruise, so they had a completely different horn contact ring, I have no idea where my original went, but you can't get that piece anymore, and I never see the non cruise models in yards. IN order to make my Fiat wheel work, it has a grant adapter, which requires the non cruise contact ring.

There's one '86 DX sedan in the holding area of the junkyard; come Monday-ish I'll check to see if it has A/C.

I sure appreciate it, it should attach just like the cruise ring with screws. if it doesn't have one mind grabbing a cruise slip ring? if it comes down to it i'll modify one to work.

yea, there are 2 screws, 1 directly above the steering wheel spline, and one below it. if ya remove those, the whole assembly comes off.

I did modify my cruise contact ring to work with my previous Momo steering.

All I did was to cut a piece of black plexy, bolt it to the combo switch and attach some kind of slip connector to it.

if you happen to go to the yard and see one, grab it will you? i can't get my hands on one anywhere, probably need the turn signal cancel sleeve too, i think it's different
