All in all I and my fatherinlaw had a good time. Things wound up being a bit out of the norm, but that just made

things more memorable. Well here are the pics I took.



We started by going to a track in the middle of nowhere surrounded by houses and abandoned barns straight out of a

horror movie.

Then while trying to find the correct axle for Steves car the unbeleivable happened! My car broke! Thank god it

broke while we were in the parking lot of the autoparts store because braking a lower balljoint while on the

highway would not have had a pretty ending.

dennis, great pics considering it was camera phone and you always seem to capture interesting moments. I will get my pics up later tonight. Credit to Luke for finding that spot a few days earlier. The pics of the 3 accords is great, if only we had the se-i and Cool Hand Luke's car there.

Fun times as always steve found a better donor car on CR now that i brought back that SEI LOL. But atleast now i have a 100% rust free chassis again and another starting point (this is my 4th 89 coupe). But overall it looks clean (few tiny dings) other than the faded paint which was a horrible re-paint job. But i have a starting point which is good.

WTF did I do this time? I wish I could have gone but theres alot of moving parts in my life right now. I'll catch up with you guys when things slow down here. who knows, burn out was fine and then went to launch off the light and it went no where. I suspect that since the track didn't have a FWD burnout box I put more stress on the axles by doing a burnout on a portion of the stickier area.

From experience i had a 06 LGT and i overall loved the car. It was a great daily driver and very comfortable. My negatives would be the thin sheet metal, gas mpg is in the teens, and they seemed to have a issue with the oil pick up tubes. Mine broke and blew my motor/turbo but my turbo was on the way out so when i got it back it was like new again. The resale value seems low but its not a honda in that department. I sold mine but i would definitely consider it again but probably the 06 model again since i didn't like the reflectors in the bumpers.

If i were considering i would get a used Spec B as is has the 6 speed. My only caution would be the oil pick up tube failure as it was over $5k to fix mine but i had a extended warranty.

If i were considering i would get a used Spec B as is has the 6 speed. My only caution would be the oil pick up tube failure as it was over $5k to fix mine but i had a extended warranty.

Thanks man appreciate the feedback, I'd like to have a solid plan laid out so I can budget my spending and how long I need to save for to get one of them. I'm also looking at 01-05 wrx's as well since they fit my budget as well and I'm playing with my options trying to figure out the best plan for a daily driver. I'm first off gonna be on the search in June for hopefully an Lxi or sei coupe though, fingers crossed I can find one.

Anyone know if there are any plans for an east coast meeting for this year? I'm interested in hopefully attending one if there is since I can actually drive this year :tongue:

This track was out in the back woods of NC. Nice people though!

From experience i had a 06 LGT and i overall loved the car. It was a great daily driver and very comfortable. My negatives would be the thin sheet metal, gas mpg is in the teens, and they seemed to have a issue with the oil pick up tubes. Mine broke and blew my motor/turbo but my turbo was on the way out so when i got it back it was like new again. The resale value seems low but its not a honda in that department. That sucks Rob that your LGT had the oil pickup failure. I replaced mine not too long ago for peace of mind.

Mellexx, the turbo legacy is fun but there are a few common things to watch out for: 05-09 models need to have good maintenance in oil change department. Subaru put a small filter in turbo oil supply system that can get clogged and bye bye turbo. You want to know it was well maintained if buying used. Then the oil pickup as Rob said. Stock clutch seems to go early 60-80k. Wheel bearings seem to go after 60k, but Subaru extended warranty on them to 100k. The interior develops rattles that can be annoying for a low mileage car but are fixable. But it's still lots of fun and responds great to power mods. You can bump it up to 300whp for less than $2k if done right. Good luck.

Thank you and thanks Rob as well. I'm just a tad worried about something breaking that I can't fix since I don't have any tools, experience or anyone close by who can give me a hand learning how to work on my car unfortunately. I'm going to have to figure out my finances after picking up the 3g and setting aside enough for fixes on that. I probably will just drive the hyundai for a little longer along side my 3g until I save enough and hopefully sell it for the LGT since I really need to keep my awd being in the northeast and having to drive to classes everyday in poorly plowed roads. If all goes well hopefully I'll have my 3g and LGT sitting in the driveway within the next few months to a year :)
