power locks dont lock ughhh

have a 89 accord lx, when i push the lock button to unlock it works perfectly but when i push to lock it doesnt do anything idk why? help

What does it do with the driver's door closed? Same thing?

when i sit in the drivers seat and i want to lock all the doors nothing happens and just makes a sound as if its tring to lock

Is that with the door closed, though? There's a lockout prevention mechanism that keeps the driver's door from locking unless it's closed or the handle is pulled.

Could be a lot of things. You might have a lock rod bent somehow that causes the problem. Could be the mechanisms needing some oil or it could be a solenoid going out. Unfortunately, you'll just have to take off the panels and figure it out.
