I was at the junkyard the other day, and in a four door model I saw a switch in the console.. my hatch had a dead plate where this swith was, and the logo on the switch looked like a cellphone antenna off like an old nextel phone. I thought it was power antenna but the car had a manual antenna. Amy idea what this thing does?

a pic would have been nice, was it an OEM looking switch or one someone made fit there?

That's the power antenna switch. Every LXi and SEi had a power antenna, at least the 4 doors did.

Then it might be a sedan thing.

^ My coupes all did. I think all '86-87 models had manual antennas, but the '88-9 LX-i/SE-i had power ones.
The '86-7 sedans might be an exception.

did it have a parking pole in the front bumper? mine has a switch that looks like that and it has a parking pole.
it might also have pole written on it
I'm assuming this switch?

They would just have the filler you see in the dash on the left side.

We're in the states, no bumper poles.
