I tried that same type of set up in my 84 hatchback over 5 years ago. I never got it to sit right, because the McPherson strut system is archaic compared to 3rd gen and later Accord suspension that was made to work with coil overs. I had to find a way to "level" the bottom of the wider strut flange to get the coil over base to sit flush. Plus the struts were not designed to rebound with those type of tight wound, high rate coils. It always came out lop-sided and the car never sat right, but if you have a different strategy, and you get it to work more power to you, and let me know how the ride is too. I'd really like to see a cheap an effective way to drop those 2nd Gens.

Sits great. I fabricated some things for the springs to fit/work/sit and everything worked out fine. It just takes a bit of time to work out the obstacles you come across. I'm actually trying to trade it for a miata right now. I love this car no doubt, but I'm bored of it.

Sorry of I missed it but did these fit front and rear? It looked kinda like just the fronts in the pictures.

Haven't seen this guy around in a while. I think he sold the car. I'm gonna say they probably aren't a perfect fit. I know that the 2g Prelude guys use coilover sleeves from 6th gen Accords in the rear of their cars. The Accord shares the same rear suspension with them, so that will probably work. But the fronts will probably require modifying some coilovers from another car with McStruts, like Hazwan did on his 1g. It's a very similar setup, so if you can find his thread, you can see how he did it. :)

Thank you Sir. I am figuring I'll get a spare set of struts and ad some sollars for some extra clearance so I can make them work either way if I have to.

You just need to buy coilover sleeves, and find some top hats for the front that will fit your car. Something like some 240 tophats or MR2 or Evo or STi tophats. Nobody here has really done it yet.
