temp gage on dash only works when moving

as the title says it all pretty sure its the thermovalve but , sould i fix something like that i mean it works when the car is in motion , i dont have A/c so idont sit still other then to warm up it stays at C and doesnt even attempt to move up towards half way until i start driving the car

i can see and touch the part with everything on , (only because of vac removal)
is it hard to get out or is it a pretty easy fix, i really just dont wanttobreak it then be fucked,

if its staying cold until you are driving and then cooling down again when you coast for a period, i'd be saying the themostat is stuck open

just replaced that , about a 6 months ago would it be open all times like if i took it out would i be able to tell if its stuck open beacause it will go up to half way only when moving ,it dont goback down unless i stop for at least 3 minutes i was personally thinking temp sending unit

Check the wire connector on the temp sending unit. If it's loose, your temp gauge won't work properly.

having same problem with mine as well... i've about determined it's the gauge itself though cause ive tested the sensor, sending unit, thermostat, etc etc... may be something to look into.
