when idle it jumps to 1200 rpm and back down to 1000rpm every 2 seconds ???

block that hole in the manifold where the hose from the cruise control used to go. also twist the black round thing from the cable that goesinto the firewall and it should come loose, make sure to disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal

yeah tape will do a good enough job, or you could cut a bit off the old hose that went to it, put that on & put a screw in the other end. as long as it stops air from getting in. that should make the car idle better
if you look under the dashboard on the accelerator pedal arm, theres another armto the right of it with a cable going to it, that's the cruise control cable

lol yeah cutting it would work too, just make sure you cut the right cable, cause right next to the cruise control cable is the throttle cable

hold the throttle cable under the hood and see if it starts if so , you cut the wrong cable

if all it does is click then its not going to be caused by the throttle cable. would be battery, starter, or a bad battery cable.

How much did you yank on the wiring under the dash? Did you unplug anything that you forgot to plug in again?

im pretty sure i cut the cruise cable , i found a green wire that goes from the battery positive terminal inside the firewall but its not connected to anything its been cut or something, but cant find out where it goes can't find the any loose connection ? must be important if its connected straight to the battery ? here is a pic
