Hey guys,is it possible to switch to 2 door tail lights on my sedan.Reason being someone fucked up the metal pieces below the tail lights on the corners.Just thought i could eliminate them by doing this as i can't find any in decent shape. What do you guys think, can it be done.

Anything can be done if you have the time/money/ability, save that, they're not a direct swap, so I'd wait for those metal corners to show up at a junkyard or something.

Coupes are rare and a coupe tailgate that isn't broken is rarer still.

Guess I'll just patch them up til i can find some good pieces for both sides.

Crap! Yet another part I will not be able to find if I have to replace one again. I did have to replace one, but that was a number if years ago. I was parked in a friend's driveway and he backed out of his garage right into it. I found a number of coupes in a wrecking yard and bought the light for $25.

Ah, the good old days!

There are MANY OEM and aftermarket taillights available out there, new and used, for four doors. Search on froogle.google.com.

He's talking about the tailgate lights. Those are rarer than hens' teeth.

I'm talking about the tail lights on the outside corners not the trunk lights, wanted to change them because the metal pieces below them that are above the bumper were fucked up by some half ass body shop.

The way they're made, I'd say no. The coupe lights are shaped differently, even though they look the same. They just won't fit. Look at my update thread for pictures of my old coupe with a sedan light.
