was looking to check my fluid for my tranny and saw this hole idk wither its a breather cap or something of the sort or maybe missing a plug or hose its on top of the tranny right underneath the intake it looks about half a inch n diameter or smaller heres a pic

Just going by your description I would say it is the hole in the bellhousing that makes it accessible to see the timing marks on the flywheel. There is supposed to be a rubber plug there but most are gone on these old cars. I put on a new one. I don't believe I have seen one with the rubber plug still remaining in the junkyard.


But wait I do show a breather cap on top of the automatic transmission.

Yeah its part 3 it looks like that on my tranny I'm at qork so whn I get off ill post the pic

thanks lx-incredible i ordered the part shld b here by monday



also lately my transmissions been feeling funny whn i start it up it goes to 2k rpm den slowly drops to 1100 rpms after lik 40 secounds after that it feels ok but then after shiftin from P to D it shifts hard but it drives fine then when i get to where im going and put it in park it starts going back in forth between 1k rpm n 2k rpm just revving up ill post a video when i get off work but any insit in the mean time would be great

Ok well my car is dead :/ idk what's wrong it turns over but doesn't want to start the battery is fine. So are the termanials. Idk well I thinkk it may b the distrubeter but not to sure th engine light isn't on nor the batter light please give some insight

I would start a new thread for this one - and include more detail (carbed or EFI?) Any for spark when cranking? What about fuel? Sudden issues are usually one of those two. Find out which one so you can focus on that subsystem
