So i'm sick of coming to my locked car, unlocking with my keys, getting in and stretching over and unlocking any passenger doors after i'm already in my car and they've been waiting. So I did some searching and was wondering if something like this:

Would solve my dilemma. Any thoughts on this>?

why dont you just get the power door locks out of a car that came with them and wire them in?

indeed. or just get the actuators and stuff from another accord & get a cheap alarm & wire that up. total cost should still be cheaper & possibly easier than spending $130 on that keyless-entry-only system

Okay saying I got the actuators from an LX, how much wiring would i need? etc... Once I get the power locks installed, it should be relatively easy to put in the keyless entry. I've done all my stereo wiring+bass amp but chassis wiring is a whole other beast.

Aren't DX's already wired for all LX/LX-i power options?

Only LX/LX-i/SE-i (and above) sedans came with power locks. Everything else did not.

Can someone confirm this? Could if so it would be alot nicer if I was going to do this job... I know there are 'spots' with plastic covering the fuse box saying power windows and locks.

^ All you'd have to do would be remove your door panels, yeah?

I've had them off fixing my window mechanism. Aaaand i've never seen any wires just waiting for power locks to be hooked up lol

Hmmm, weird. Well, that's what I've heard. Honda supposedly did it to save monayyy.

in my lx sedan i have wires running for a sun roof at least from where the switch would be to where ever

I'll do some better examining soon and see if you are right. Do you think it would just have an open connector from the door hinge and I would have to get all the wiring from behind the door of an LX roight?

The wires for the sunroof and mirrors are literally the plugs that would go into the switches, or the parts that are being moved, so there should be the actual plug on both ends. Take the little plates off from the left side of your steering wheel and see if you have two wires: one for the sunroof, one for power mirrors. I think you'd need new door panels for the window switches...
