Doesn't Nio have those Escort wheels on his grey SE-i coupe as well?

Now, don't worry: a lot of your "problems" aren't bad at all. Finding new cup holders and a matching mirror are going to be hard (I'm selling a black passenger side power mirror, by the way). Get that trim piece and the corner from a junkyard ($10 max).

Now, as for the leather and tail gate lights...

I plan on doing alot once I get a solid job. I plan to have the seats rewrapped in black leather, trim pieces and new trunk(Which will take care of the broken tail lights.) as well as a new color(Really dark[almost black] green is my thinking atm.). I'd also like to grab some sort of B-swap. But of course plans are plans until the money flows. :P

How did i miss this? wtf? And Steve, my SE-i's trunk is the only part on the car that ISN'T fading lol. Got a new trunk a couple of years ago from where an old man backed into it lol. Welcome to the site, my fellow SE-i Grey Coupe OKC resident!

Went to Pull A Part last week and this week and got some goods.

I also got a visor but it's a visor so... No pictures lol.
Only need a trunk and one other trim piece and she'll be ready to paint. :P

I'm still debating the color question. I wanted a dark green but scrapped that. I probably will just repaint it the same. The s14 is my friend's. It doesn't look very nice when you can see the whole thing.

The gray is pretty cool. I wish it were darker, I'd like to do a dark color with white GSR wheels. The s14 will be coming out of beater status once he gets a job. He wants to strip it and drift it.

Got more goods at Pull A Part today. Lude seats. :P
I need to screw around with the brackets more. Get them mounted better, I only did the passenger side to see if they would fit, I'll do the driver side when I mod the brackets for it. Pictarz!

I'm ripping apart the old seat to get to the bolts.

The tube coming out of the oil pan on the passenger side of the pan. It leaks where it connects to the oil pan.

just pick up a new tube and some new clamps...that should be a easy fix...i would rather have that then to do the oil pan gasket

Well it's not the rubber tube, it's the metalish tube. The rubber tube and clamps are new, it's the metal part of the tube coming out of the pan. *wishes I had a camera*

Could timing be my engine problem? Symptoms are: slower than slow IE; 24seconds 0-60. Really bad gas mileage IE; 13mpg maybe. Car's max speed is 80 and it takes thirty years to get there, plus it uses like a quarter tank of gas to do it.

I've been trying to find posts on how to adjust timing and I've found a few on the matter. But I haven't found any that are for a complete newb to these cars. And where the hell is the timing window? Chilton manual doesn't explain it very well.

Woo! I got a job. So my car will be getting upgrades soon. Starting with suspension. My brother is apparently tired of putting money into his Integra ls, so he gave it to me to strip. It's got a b18b in it. I'd kinda like to put that in my car. We'll see I guess. :P Picture updates soon!

The timing window is a notch in the engine block casting at the engine to transmission joint. Find where the front engine mount is bolted to the block, look up and ever so slightly to your left (the car's right) until you find where the engine model and serial number are stamped in the engine block, the timing window is directly above the numbers.

Oh, hell yea. I doubt I'm keeping the engine that's in the car as of now. There are a lot of problems on it that I don't want to mess with. I do know where there is another a20 for sale though, but right now I just want something that I don't have to tend to EVERY day.

Ok, so I lied to everyone, kinda. My mom lost her job, and her car and needs help with rent and a vehicle until she can find a new job and get a car again. I'll have to lend her mine and my dad will probably make a down payment for something else for me. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow to look at some crap. But I won't be working on the 3gee for a while because I'll have to make car payments and help my mom out with rent.

Jajle
12-09-2010, 09:51 AM
K so my dad urges me not to let my mom use the 3g, because he's put a lot of money into it. He also doesn't want me making payments on a new car, so with that being said. I still am helping my mom out with rent but I still have the 3g. I'll have a little extra money that I'll be saving at the end of each week and I might start gathering little parts like; 5spd swap parts, and I really need some seat belt retractors. Then I'll start saving for more expensive items like suspension and performance parts, etc. I might go to PaP this weekend and see what I can't find.

Jajle
12-27-2010, 01:52 PM
So it's been a little while since I've updated you guys on what's going on. So here it is; My mom's rent is caught up, she is still out of a job. She's on unemployment and can handle her bills now. A couple of weeks ago Adam stopped in and we adjusted my ignition timing to factory specs. Then my brakes started acting up and after I got done reading this thread (http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74613) the day it was first posted, my brakes went completely out. I woke up the other morning and my dad had fixed them. I don't know how either, lol. Also was thinking about selling Lacy. Was looking at an s13 hatch and an 88 Integra(Which had a complete tune-up recently). And both of those dropped out. So I still have her, don't worry. :P Now that I don't have to help my mom with rent anymore I can see what kind of money I can put back and update you all from that. Probably have some sort of new update by this weekend or early next week. But I will be keeping the car and getting stuff for it soon hopefully.

Hello everyone! I've been thinking about what to do with this darned car, lol. The car is slowly dying and I don't have time to rebuild the engine, as a couple of people have suggested. I also got screwed with some weird ass schedule change at work and it cost me a week's check. I do however, have a ride to school and work for the rest of this semester. And someone was selling an engine a while back around the DFW area, if he still has it, I'll try to get the Dodge from my dad to go down there. I'm going to be selling a few things this week to get some cash, and I get paid Friday. If all goes well I'll be able to pick that up this weekend.
