I'm not sure if these are what you would call a stabilizer arm or what the name for them is exactly. All I know is that it stops me from lowering my car to a nice 1.8F 2R drop. Anyone taken these out without issue?

here's a picture: it's the arm thing that comes out over the tire

you can do it.
Of course you will have to just park the car and never drive it.

Ok so now that I have captured your sense of humour.... this wasn't a serious question. (apologies)... I'm actually wondering about success stories with different brands of lowering kits (camber "shims" and so forth) Does anyone have suggestions for my 88 Hatch? I'm looking to do what's referred to in some places as a "sport" drop... roughly 1.8 in the front and 2 in the back. Any input regarding what brands are best and if anyone's had good luck with Ebay products is appreciated. Thanks all!

You Sir have experienced your first flaming :D

For sport go look at the K SPORTS suspension a bit pricey but worth every penny

Btw even though if it wasn't a serious question your still gonna get replys to either flaming or. Just negative replies. Watch what you post and good luck! Lol

when i had my prelude, as a joke i took the front springs and put em in the back, looked funny as hell, especially with 13" tires.

whats your camber like?

you should have no problem lowering 1.8 in the front with the stock A-arms

i'm certain that this was not in fact a joke, but a serious question that you now are trying to save face on.

and without further sarcasm, the answer to your question is no. You cannot drive without the upper A arm. ;)

Thanks for the laugh man.
In answer to your question, you probably won't have to worry too much about camber issues with a drop like that. However if you want something camber adjustable then you can run 2nd or 3rd gen prelude upper control arms on the front, I forget which it is but it's in the faq somewhere. For the back you can use an ingals adjustable upper control arm. You can pick them up on ebay, or from summit racing.

Currently I'm running the prelude control arms in front, and the stock arms in back. I haven't had any odd camber wear from just driving around, but I tend to smoke through tires quick autocrossing anyway.
