I just got a set of four GS-R 15" rims w/o tires for pretty cheap. They all have some minor to moderate road rash. One of them was half painted between the spokes in a pseudo bronzing...done poorly with no masking. I just want some opinions. Should I get em cleaned (de-painted) and shined, or should I take to a paint shop and have them sand blasted and blackened, or should I have someone redo the finnish? Any ideas? :dunno:

Okay...I am admittedly a noob when it comes to Tegs. I don't know the generations well except for the 1st gens. Are these rims I got GS-R factory 15"s or Integra LS "mesh" rims? I've seen 2 people list these as Integra LS mesh. Posts on the Teg forum said they're not called meshes.

Thanks for the help Geez...anyway what's the verdict on paint? Should I clean these up and have the paint stripped off the one wheel or should I get em properly painted? What do you guys think? :dunno:

I think a 205/55 will look pretty tall on those wheels. Kinda 4x4 style. 205/50s are much more common anyways. I think a 195/55 might handle a bit better, even sacrificing a little bit of grip, just due to the width of the rims... If you're gonna do them black, you might get them powder coated. It's usually pretty cheap, and super durable. I think my friend has a set of 18 inch rims powdercoated for his Vette for like $150.

those are not webs, those are mesh, the picture you posted are gsr blades, the other gsr's are the fat fives obviously, and snowflakes, which also were an option on the ls special edition. the webs that you referred to came stock on the ls special edition and are 14"...

phillie's car, not sure if pics are here... but this is the thread... http://www.azht.net/forum/showthread.php?t=96747

he pretty much gave up on it after that, he has an eg hatch that he's been working on instead. he sold the k-sports to lx-incredible about a month after those pics.

i almost bought the si's but didnt. not sure if he sold them or not, but he still dd's the accord i think.

i HAVE 2 mint si wheels. and 2 sorta bent fat fives. LS mesh are hot i would love to get a set but there way over priced here. Looking for 2 more si wheels to throw on the hatch.

I would get them De-painted and re-cleared. And your striaght. lower your car and you have your self one hell of a ride. Clean simple. and a some bitch might drop her panties.

I have the same set of wheels as stat1k's pic of Phillies car...only mine needs a bit more TLC and paint to look that good. Thanks for all the "spin" on the Acura rims...

Now I know what I got, and what to do with them. My new tires should be here today. As for paint on the rims...cleaned up and polished is the way to go for now. BTW does anyone know if most wheel/tire shops can fix or replace missing wheel studs in our rear drums? If not I'm gonna need to get a little mend done at the shop before I mount the new wheels up.
