yea guy i worked with at the time was having alot of problems with it, it wouldnt stay started, and then a coolant hose poped, he was like " hey i need $200 more for the down payment on my new car, give it to me and you can take this peice of shit"
so i did, Fixed the not staying started issue with a $6 valve towards the front of the engine.
Also overdrive wouldnt lock, adjusted on tv cable today and think i fixed that.
and replaced the hose for about $12
like i said i have some other issues, for one it was overheating during the winter, almost seemed like something was blocking fluid from heater core as i also had no heat, funny thing about that is now that its 100 degrees the damn thing dosent overheat at all, so im going to get coolant system flushed out and hope that solves the issue, dont really want to replace the core.

Check the cable that attaches to the heater valve between the engine and firewall. Sometimes it come off when people are back there working on them.

ok i think i found the cable you were refering too, only saw 1 cable on the heater valve. yea it was connected, however the movement seemed a little stiff, is that normal?

you can grease the cables up a little. that helped mine. also, overheating in the winter only usually means a frozen or partially frozen cooling system. so yeah a flush should help that out.

I havnt replyed to this yet... but dude, your car is like a merge between my 87 and my 89 lol. the interior is solid broun like the 87 was, and it has the rain gards like the 87 did, but its automatic and an 88/89.. how odd, lol..
Lookin good, man. Got any plans to take off the hubcaps? lol.

Waiting on a resposne back from another member on these forums in regards to a full set of OEM Accord rims/tires
, hopefully he gets the mail and still has them.
i think i am going to have this as a stock restore for the most part.

Thats how im feeling about my car. Aside from it rolling on black shiny steelies, with H logos, its stock, and i have little intention of changing that.

It was exactly like mine except I have the compartment/armrest behind the parking brake. Yours is cleaner, I have a few exterior rust spots to seal with. Nice deal and nice deal on the rims.

actually after a day of driving after putting the rims on ive noticed huge vibrations when driving , never really drove this car more than like 35mph before today when i took a drive on the highway, goign to get them balanced tommorow and see if that fixes it, if it dosent that ive got a problem somewhere in the suspention that honestly i wont be able to fix myself.

why wont you be able to fix it your self? could be something like a tie rod $15 part 15 minute job, could be a lower ball joint about $15 part 20 minute job , upper ball joint $50 part , 15 minute job or even something as little as a sway bar bushing $10, 10 minute job lol, 3gees are very cheap and easy to work on, in fact one of the cheapest cars for replacement items.

i am SUCK at mechanic work, i tend to make things worse, id be scared to death id break something back there. If i were to take it to a shop i bet they would tell me these 15 minutes jobs are 2 hours+ and charge me an arm and a leg
