So, finally some pics from my Aerodeck. The front has been lowered yet (4cm lowering springs (1.6 inches)) but still think the wheel gap is too big.

Only pic with the original front bumper:

Last few days I've been working on my bodykit. Front and sideskirts are on the Aerodeck yet, and painted (matt black). Haven't had enough time to put the rear skirt on it yet. This will be done the coming days (waiting till it stops raining ).

Of course I took some pictures of the result till now:

Front skirt:

Sideskirts, not painted yet on these pics:

Actually the first picture in this post is the only one where the sideskirts are painted, I noticed now :dunno:

I will post a decent pic with the painted sideskirts when I'll post the pics of the rear skirt, hopefully tomorrow!!

Sweet, sweet Aerodeck...not too much rust from what I see.

It must be hard working on cars in The Netherlands...it gets pretty wet out there. I remember it flooding pretty bad in the spring time.

How far are you from Venlo or Nijmegen? I went to school over there. I really miss The Netherlands...haven't been back in 8 years, well last year I flew through Schiphol but that doesn't count. :crying:

I hope to visit there again, have a beer for me...PROST!

BTW what brand of body kit is that? I had the same front spoiler for my 2nd Gen 84 Accord hatchback...I think it was German made.

Yeah it looks very rust-free from the outside, only has a little spot on the hood and behind the left tail light. But the wheel housings (the inside, behind the wheel actually) have some major rust and the tube from the tank cap to the tank is totally gone. Replaced it with a rubber hose (still amazed it didn't disolve yet ). Honda dealer told me it could take two months to get it, so I was looking to find it somewhere else, but haven't found it yet... I'll make a thread in the trading zone for it!

Couldn't agree more about the rain, I guess the Netherlands is (after England of course) the rainiest country in Europe.

I live in Heerlen, that's about 70 km (about 45 miles) southern to Venlo. Did you go to school in Venlo? Cause I am, starting 2nd year of my Logistics study by the beginning of September.

The front skirt (and sideskirts too) is from StyleAuto (http://www.styleauto.de), from Germany indeed. Never knew it till two weeks ago, they're made only 50 kms from were I live!!
Rear skirt is also from Germany, but its from a guy who calls himself Polybauer. Got it there because I didn't like the rear skirt from StyleAuto:

Whenever you visit The Netherlands again, feel free to e-mail me and drop by ;)

Yeah we can't get the Aerodeck here but I believe the filler pipe from the cap to the tank is pretty universal across 3rd Gen Accords. I don't know cause I've never replaced one. A rubber hose is bad cause it can dissolve and leave nasty deposits in your gas and get sucked into the engine. If you're gonna do that at least stick a newer and better fuel filter, or you might have serious problems. I would ask one of the EAST coast members to send you a new filler pipe. They're cheap here:

http://www.1aauto.com/1A/Gas-Tank/Honda/Accord/1AFMX00031/315426?utm_source=google_base&utm_medium=comparisonshopping&utm_campaign=gb_api_nobr&utm_content=FMX

I would send you one, but CA to Netherlands shipping would be insane. I don't remember but Dutch Customs weren't too bad when it came to imports. China to CA is crazy...you could probably mail a goat and they wouldn't care.

BTW: I went to a US institution in Limburgh between Venlo and Venray. I was only there for 1/2 year but I liked it so much I didn't wan to leave The Netherlands  I want to come back and visit. Maybe next time I can stop in Netherlands on the way to visit my wife's family in Europe.

Figured that out indeed, that's the reason why I want it to be changed ASAP.

OMG the prices on that site are insane, 73 dollars (need one with single vent tube)! As I said a few posts back I went to the Honda dealer here in The Netherlands. The price there was €175, about 223 friggin US Dollars for a simple metal tube!

There are practically no 3geez on junkyards over here, so could take a while before I'll find one by myself. Anywho, would be great if someone from the Eastcoast who's willing to ship to me would read this thread! :)

Tax Administration is actually predictable: when the biggest package in the room is yours, you're gonna be the one who has to pay! Filler tube isn't really that big so shouldn't be a problem, :)

Venlo and Venray are in the north of Limburg, while Heerlen (where I live) is about 10 miles from the most southern point of our country. What was the name of the institution where you went to school? And where is your wife from (if I may ask;))?

The school was in an old Castle on a farm in Well...very small village, there is a bar there called "Vink" maybe you've been there? The professors were from University of Nijmegen. I went to classes there and did gardening/groundskeeping for beer money and to travel. The school is operated by Emerson College of Boston. My wife is from the Balkans...Croatia.

There really isn't anything in Well besides the Vink, if that's still there its been 8 years since I left... Living in The Netherlands was great, a real taste of rural European life for this Yankee City Rat.

Indeed pimp my Yugo is popular in the Balkans...better than pimp my Punto:naughty:

10 second Yugo...there's my challenge!

Despite the rust I would still love to have an Aerodeck...make that thing into a boat and sail it to California then we can trade.

I looked it up (google for the win!) and it still exists! Appears to be sort of a restaurant and bar. I actually do love living in Europe, although I've never been in the US! But hey, you've got loads of (aftermarket) parts for 3geez that we don't have here!

Hehe, Yugo is totally unknown here, so you see much more pimped Punto's with loads of Tupperware on it.

Don't think my Aeroboat would stay alive till California, guess the whole car (yeah, EVEN the plastic :D) has rusted away when I'm at the North Sea!

What I'm also jealous of: you guys have 3geez hatch, would love to have one of those!!!

Trust me if you lived here...you would call your car Europeanized...with the body kit and those side markers, rear bumper back up lights, and all the other stuff that sets it apart from North America 3Gs its definitely a Euro car. But that's not a negative thing, personally I love the Eurodeck, I'd trade a US 3G Hatchback for a Eurodeck any day :) but not a 2G Hatchback IMO.

No it's not that I'm worrying bout it or anything, it just sounds unfamiliar.. The Aerodeck is not a car that you see every day in The Netherlands, not even every month! Except for me of course, cause I own one ;).

About the side markers, I want to get rid of them, I hate round things. Cars should be all sharp-edged! Gonna grab some CRX sidemarkers I guess...

I don't know if I would trade my Aerodeck for a Hatch if it really comes to it. I got really addicted to Aerodecks actually!! :D

Hehe, English lessons start at primary school here, when you're only 10 years old. And now I'm 21 and studying at University of Professional Education I still got English lessons. Reason: We live in a small country, with many many trading companies (import and export). So for a student who wants to be ready to enter the labor market (is that correct?? cause here we say it that way ) it's crucial to know his languages (I speak German too, and a little bit French).

Besides, I really love the English language! When you translate a famous English phrase (from a movie or something) to Dutch, it really sounds like crap. Take Tony Montana: "Say hello to my little friend". Sounds terrific!! In Dutch it would be: "Zeg hallo tegen mijn kleine vriend". Couldn't be worse, you should be delighted you don't speak Dutch! :D

Yes I remember it being very difficult to speak, lots of double vowel sounds...I was trying to help my Dutch gardener friend with his English while I was at school. I wonder what happened to him? I know he doesn't work at the school anymore. His name was Jeroen (sp) We used to go out after work and hang out at bars, while all the other kids from my school got wasted in Venlo. Trying to talk to Dutch girls was hard too! But yes almost everyone I met in your country spoke English even in the farm towns. That is not so much the case in my wife's country, English is less common in Slavic regions.

Anyway...if you want anything from North American Accords let me know, I don't go to the junkyard much, none close to the city here. But I have some other parts and contacts around here.

Venlo actually is quite a nice town. Not too big. Only 35k residents I think. But OK to get wasted indeed!

Well, Slavic region isn't the only place where many people don't speak English. Try Germany or France!

And from Venlo to Geneva is only 500 miles ;)

Yeah we didn't drive the Festiva (school's car) we took the train through Germany. The closest I got to driving in Europe was driving the tractor around the farmland, lol. :bowrofl:

StyleAuto front and sideskirts and rear is from Polybauer (I guess some dude who adjusted standard bumpers). Both are German made. I didn't take the rear from StyleAuto cause I didn't like it that much.

You can find pics of all the skirts in this thread...

StyleAuto (http://www.styleauto.de) for front and sideskirts.

Rear piece is from a German guy named Polybauer, found it on Ebay.

They sell bodykits for all 3geez btw..
When I picked it up I've been talking to the owner of the company (he now runs it with his wife). He said he tried to sell his bodykits to the US market but never really sold many. He even told me that he would sell the bodykits for same prices in dollars as he normally sells them in euro's.. That would be a reduction of 22%. So if anyone is interested, the link to their website is in my previous post! ;)

Not sure about hatch, since we don't have that here in Europe.. But if you look at this pic (it's from styleauto.de), you can see that they make them for coupe/sedan:

As promised, I mounted the rear skirt yesterday. I'm very satisfied with the match of it with the rest of the bodykit.
At least it matches way better than the StyleAuto rear skirt. Took some quick pics:

http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-DWLFYJHN.jpg

http://www.mijnalbum.nl/Foto-UEIDVJ4L.jpg

The corners aren't correctly aligned yet, so it's hanging a little..
I'll have to re-align the exhaust, since it's not in the middle of the opening in the bumper.
Also, the rear fog lights didn't fit, but I don't know whether I'll try to make them fit or get rid of 'em.
And when I get rid of them, what to do with these holes... Suggestions??

Yeah I found one a while ago, and it's still for sale. It's the one Tomisimo and wh1skea mentioned in the Euro Meet thread. Click to check it out! (http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?lang=de&id=134875129&pageNumber=1&tabNumber=1). It has Bilstein struts and springs, leather interior, only half the miles that are on my car, it looks clean (mine's not, keep discovering rust I've never seen before). Plus I could use my present car as a parts car (of course I won't let the bodykit go ;)).

BTW, I'm in the second year of HBO Logistics in Venlo now. Like it there, only thing is that there's too little time left.

Talkin' bout something else, I fixed my right headlight today. When gauging electricity in the cables, it seemed the circuit wasn't closed. Moved the cables a little and suddenly I had three loose cables in my hand. All three cables which lead to the headlight where burned. Soldered it, taped it and it works now..

Talkin' bout another something else, about a week ago (don't exactly know when) someone found it necessary to switch his/her red car paint with my matt black front bumper paint. These are the results:

Nice work fixing your filler pipe, that must have been a pain.

Actually it was quite easy, took about 4 hours to fix it (with pulling the temporary hose off and all the cutting, bending and welding of the new metal square)..

Didn't even need to pull of the tank, since we did the welding without the pipe installed. As you can see, the pipe is bolted from beneath so that was a relief. If I'm not mistaken, the factory piece is bolted on from the upper side.

Well, I still haven't had time to work on the car, although she really needs my attention! April 10 it should have been through the APK (yearly check). Things that should be done before then:
- Front bumper repair
- Front left spring (it just broke :madflip:)
- Exhaust (flexpipe and somewhere around a flange is leaking; Pacesetter header is on its way to The Netherlands and I want to make me a 2.25 inch custom exhaust)
- Hole in front wheel arch and some other rust around the car...

Enough work to do...

Right, I changed my broken front left spring today.
When I finished that, I finally!!! started to change the stock rear springs for the lowering springs that have been laying around in my garage for a while now.
But when I took the stock one off and held them next to the new one, the "lowering" spring was longer than the stock one. Still installed the new one, but the car was about 1 inch higher than stock!!

Gonna get me some decent stuff this summer...

MessyHonda

what springs did you use

bryan6732
04-07-2011, 02:16 PM
Triple S... Besides breaking (might be plain bad luck?) they aren't low enough by far and a little bouncy. So I'm gonna go 2.25 inch lower with better shocks I guess (after a large amount of searching on the board for the best struts and springs).. The bodykit will be scraping speed bumps, but as long as it drives good and looks good it's okay I guess! :)

Installed the Pacesetter headers today. Cut the EGR pipe off and welded it and plugged the two O2-holes. When I was finished, brought it to my pro welder right away so he can weld the wheel arches and other rust around the car. Therefore there was no time to make pics, and kinda forgot to!

Due to the large amount of time school is taking away I haven't been able to make pics yet (not even talking about the yearly test it has to go through, so I'm not allowed to drive now) I haven't had time to make a lot of pics yet. I've only got one, actually. You can see that the Pacesetter's coating is just for sales/marketing purposes. Only drove about 15kms with the thing installed now. Performance increase is slightly noticable (still got the stock exhaust)...

Oh yeah, the pic:

Next upgrade will be Ksports coilovers. Recently saw a thread were someone got them for really cheap, but that was back in 2009. Does anyone know a cheap dealer? Otherwise It'll just be Ebay...

Together with the Ksports I'm gonna need something to correct the camber (suggestions are welcome! ;)).
Also, I'm looking to replace bushings with PU bushings. Haven't really got an idea where to get them or how much they cost, but will do research when I've got time!

How much are they where you found them? For me ordering them from ebay wouldn't be worth it. I've been thinking about getting them too, but can't quite afford it atm.

The K-sport dealer in Finland wants 699€ for them shipped, on ebay they're about 600€ + shipping + customs fees and VAT. Would probably make it around 850€ that way.

What you pay for is 19% sales tax + 4,5% customs (for car parts).
€745 (selling price, shipping costs and insurance) * 1.235 = €920

Still cheaper than the Dutch supplier asks, and since you pay tax and customs two weeks later it feels better!

I think the €699 shipped will be shipped to Finland only. For other countries there will be a higher shipping fee.
Thereby, you still have to pay 23.5% sales tax and customs, right?

Guys, I'm leaving the 3geez scene. My Aerodeck can't seem to get through the inspection due to major rear wheel arches damage and some other failures. At least it's not something I can fix. Also, I've had some financial throw-backs which will not alow me to let it fix and get further on the performance of this car. The need of purchasing almost every single performance part from the USA has taken it's toll.

Conclusion: The Aerodeck needs to go....... :(

EDIT: I've been thinking about it all day, but I just can't sell it!! So I'm gonna keep it, might not be worked on for a while but this car will not leave me now!

Don't sell!!
You will really regret it later on.
Put it in a barn somewhere.
Only drink water, eat at friends/parents, work a extra job, etc, etc,
BUT DON'T DO IT!!

I've decided to keep it indeed. I'm looking to buy an Aerodeck from 1986 soon, whenever I have space to put it in.
1986 is older than 25 years old and the last year from which cars get the "oldtimer" status.
In our country, when a car is called "oldtimer", you don't have to pay car holder's tax (33 euros a month for me now)
and insurance is only about 110 euros a year (93 euros A MONTH for me now).
So this all would save me 120 euro's each month...

Two months later than it should, my car finally passed the test. So I can (legally) drive around again! :D
I'm really lucky cause normally you get a 106 euro fine when you're too late with it.
Got a few updates on the car btw.

Just came back from the second EFR-Germany dragrace event this year.
Since the last time the only updates on my car are the Pacesetter exhaust manifold and the super light weight Lenso wheels with better (street) tires.

Best run:
Reaction time: 0.400
Race time: 16.605
Total time: 17.005 seconds

Best run last time: 17.3 seconds.

Besides, there was a dyno for cheap (35 euros)..

Results: (crankshaft numbers offcourse)
Power: 119 HP @ 5001 rpm
Torque: 190 Nm @ 2623 rpm

Filmed the dyno action, which will be posted on the web (and linked offcourse) soon, together with the graph.. :)

I've also installed something rare (I guess):

These are JDM Aerodeck rear quarter Louvers, and I paid USD40 for them. Didn't even know about the existance
of these till I ordered the JDM Corners from a guy from New Zealand (Ebay ftw)...

Hee, did the same! Where did you order them? I ordered them at a local Honda tuner. (http://risingsunperformance.nl/).
Even though they told me the quality of the K-Sport is poor...
Custom ones will cost 3 or 4 times as mutch. (read: TO mutch)

Nice! I ordered them at jeroentje.nl tuning, they're "the official" Dutch K-sport dealers..

BTW, how much did you pay for them??

I've always wanted JDM/USDM corners, because I wanna get rid of those round sidemarkers... Now I drive around for a while with these round things plugged in the holes (not connected), because the holes are pretty big!

Think i payed the same (999,- euro), also called jeroentje tuning, but dind't feel like tansfering 1000,- to a company with a name like that.
The rising sun guys are close by and i first did a visit. It's a cool company!
Thats where i have my engine swap in the future.
They told me to keep the shocks clean, or else they will not adjust anymore after a few months.

I agree on the fender blinkers, damn ugly!

Yeah I've heard about this "name" of jeroentje.nl you're talking about from a few other people, but can't tell anything about it myself. For me it's the first time to order something from them so I'm just gonna wait and give 'em a chance. ;)
I actually did some negotiating and in the end I ordered them for 850 shipped..

BTW on the clean thing about the shocks: I've seen someone on this board who had (yellow) sleeves for the k-sports..
Wonder who that was...

Company isn't the fastest in shipping out (that's what I've heard at least), but I don't really care about an extra week or so..

The offset (ET) from my wheels is +38 I think...

Picked up a 1986 Aerodeck EX yesterday, with only 150,000 km.. :)
Same color as my other one.

The good:
-It's from 1986, so taxfree driving and €120 insurance a year.
-Rear wheel arches are super clean! Looks like they're straight off the factory!
-Overall not much rust, few small spots but nothing big.

The bad:
-Hasn't passed through the yearly test.
-Needs a new fuel tank and filler pipe. (I can only drive a few kms before the engine stops)
-Big dent in the door
-Holes from about 5cm in both the front wheel arches.
-There's moss in a few small corners! :D

The plan is to swap the tank and filler pipe first, and get it through the test so I'm allowed to drive it. After that, I want to swap the head + injection assembly (including my P&P B18 mani :D).
BUTTT, I've read that the carburated A20 blocks had lower compression. Is this because of the head or is it because of different pistons or something?

Of course I'm also gonna take the other accesories, like the bodykit, louvers, cupholders and maybe (not certain yet) the power windows, power mirrors and sunroof.

PS.
For the Dutch people around here: I got it from Woldendorp, near Delfzijl. Drove it back to Heerlen in about 6.5 hours!
Driving to Woldendorp from Heerlen took us 3.5 hours.

Swapped the injection tank to my EX last saturday. Went well. Drove it back home afterwards, and the rear drums wouldn't release after breaking. Guess the brake shoe rebound spring is broke. So next weekend I'll do a rear disc brake swap.

BTW, the Ksport coilovers are in the Netherlands right now, so probably have them at my place sometime this week!

What did you pay for it?

You'll have to wait for pics till the weekend, haven't got time due to my internship.. Takes my time for now!

I haven't got a garage yet, but I hope to have one within a week.. Last saturday was the best weather of the year, was nice working outside. But I don't think that will happen another time this year!

Hell yeah I did! Did you take a closer look to it or was it just seeing it when passing it? I really like the rear wheel wells, can't get enough of mentioning that!

But still, enough work to do, starting with the rear disc swap and FI swap. :)

Yesterdag I finally had time to look at the rear drums..
Right one looked good, but when I took the cover off the left one the front brake shoe fell off immediately, in 3 pieces.
It was just flying around there when I was driving, no wonder the brakes blocked from time to time.
Glad I hadn't driven it on the highway!

So tonight (that is if the parts shop has them in stock) I'm gonna drive around in my Aerodeck again, instead of my girlfriend's Toyota Starlet! :)

bryan6732

The brake shoes where in stock, so changed them yesterday and have just
driven the EX to my internship! :)
Drives really smooth, just need to span the power steering belt.
It slips during the first few kms and makes a horrible sound, especially when it's 7 in the morning.

Also I think the timing belt should be replaced. Last time it was replaced was
was back in 1999 at 120k km!! (155k km now)

It feels good, but I really really need a place to store the EXi (zodat ik 'm kan schorsen ;)) to stop paying road tax and insurance and to start the disassembling process.

I'm planning to do the FI swap, take the cylinder head to a machine shop, do the rear disk brake swap, take the doors, bodykit, rims etc of the EXi so therefore I really need four walls and a roof for it!

Great option that your phone has a fm transmitter. Now this old school radio can be some kind off modern without showing. :)

Well that's exactly what I was aiming for.
Except for the Brodit holder I'd like the interior to be old school (/stock)!
With the FM transmitting option I'm still able to listen to my own music and even have phonecalls through the speakers of the car. :)

How are you gonna connect the subwoofer? Think only front and rear (high power) outputs on this radio?

Yeah, there's only front and rear output.
Still need to figure that out, but I know there will be a way to connect it.
Think I'm gonna work with frequency filters. You don't want to have the subwoofer (try) to make high sounds...

Hazwan
12-13-2011, 11:46 PM
You gonna need a line out converter to convert from the speakers output from the head unit to the low level on the amp.

You gonna need a line out converter to convert from the speakers output from the head unit to the low level on the amp.

Yeah that's something I was actually searching for, but didn't know about the existance of it!
So thanks! :)

This is the first time I'm going to do my own (regular) car audio system.
My EXi had a 5.1 Logitech system powered by a 12V - 230V converter, on a high tech Caliber head unit! :D
That was peanuts to connect and gave some great sound for the money..

Fedor B.
12-14-2011, 12:54 PM
A Logitech 5.1 in a car, thats the first time i heard. :)

If you put a multi channel amp. on the rear signal, you could install rear speakers and sub. on that. Would be easy to choose one with a remote sub. level controller, or else you can not level rear and sub from your seat.
Adjustable frequency filters for low and high pass are build into most amps.

To my opinion, most vital piece in car audio are the front speakers. Buy some nice ones there.

Yeah at the time I had a 5.1 system laying around, collecting dust. A friend gave me a power converter. So actually I had the sound system "for free" at the time I built it in. And it produced a quite impressive sound!
It's in my girlfriend's Toyota Starlet EP82 now. :)

EDIT: It's a Logitech X-530.

Have been thinking about it and I'm gonna buy some kinda multi channel amp indeed (+ the line out converter)..

I'll buy some good 2-way speakers (with tweeters) for the front, some rear speakers, and I've already got a nice sub. Not too big, as I treasure the trunk space! :)

The Ksports must be on by now.
I'm ready for the pics.

Yeah, they're on... But it was a pain!!
The two front struts went off well, as well as the rear left.
Rear right took us 4 hours because the bolt that goes through the strut and the lower bushing didn't release from said bushing!
We shaved the head of the bolt off, without any result. Then we cut the stock strut off and pressed out the bushing (with the bolt in it).
From this point it would've been easy to drill the bolt out of the bushing, but all drills we had were blunt. But after four hours we finally had it out!
FYI: the dealer and other parts stores were closed when we came to this point..

But yeah, pics :D

Front and rear are both at the lowest. Front could go a few inches lower I believe, by screwing down the top screws, but then the spring gets loose when the car hits a bump stop, which could cause major damage...

It's not quite as low as I expected it to be when I bought them, but the advantage is that there's no doubt about mounting the body kit or not! :)

Looks good!
I think it's low enough.
Going lower will give speedbump problems and makes the car look overweight.
Also the camber will eat your tires.
Perhaps a set of 17"?

How did you mount the front brake lines, and what setting on the stiffness are you driving around with?

Yeah I like it though. I don't want other rims, got these for my birthday from my girlfriend. Besides, they're light weight and I love the look of them. :)

For now I "mounted" the front brake lines with thick tie wraps. I didn't get the idea of the mounting plates that were in the box, did you? How did you mount them? Cause I don't really like the tie wrap idea! lol

You could go lower easy by putting the idea of Legend master into action. (Ksports on..not low enough thread)
It would mean losing your warranty.
For Dutch MOT it's not allowed that the springs are loose when the car is jacked up.
About the brake hose mounting. The plates in the box suck and don't fit our cars. I drilled the hole in the standart brake hose clamp to 10 mm and put it under the damper pinch bolt. It's not ideal because the bends a to tight.
I'm looking for some stainless steel hoses, preferably slightly shorter.

I can do that trick indeed, but I don't really like to cut my expensive shocks!

For the loos springs thing: I can do that with the front, but the rear is max low already so that'd mean my car would "look to the ground". It's not allowed for MOT indeed, but it takes a few minutes to change it. But then if you hit a bump on highway it might cause damage because the spring needs to fall into this "bracket" (don't know how to call it lol).

Yeah I'll take a look some time for the brake hoses, but for now it's okay with tie wraps I guess.

Had an other idea for reducing the wheel gap: higher tires..
I've got 195/45/16 right now. With 195/50/16 the wheel gap would decrease with about 0.5 cm (about 1 cm higher wheel total) and with 195/55/16 even a 1 cm decrease of wheel gap (about 2 cm higher wheel total).
I think that would do! :)

This would also mean a 0.5 / 1 cm raise of the entire car, which would make driving with the body kit mounted a bit easier.
Still not sure about keeping the body kit or selling it. I really like the stock facelift Aerodeck bumpers, but they're only available in JDM countries so hard/expensive to get.

I had thought of that too. The wheel arches were definitely designed for larger wheels. You'd get better mileage (and more traffic tickets) with bigger tires too. I'd be interested to see how bigger wheels affect the aesthetics of the car.

I'm not too worried about the aesthetics of the car itself, more about how the looks of the rims will be affected by the higher tires.
+ I'll have to wait till my tires are worn. Just got these last summer and have driven on winter tires for about 3 months.

Oh, and mileage and top speed will increase, but on the other hand acceleration will decrease sadly. But I don't think it'll be a big difference.

Yeah... Switched to VW. Driving a Polo G40 now...
A bit more mainstream over here, but a lot cheaper in parts and tuning than a random Japanese car. And a lot of fun to drive as well! :)

Well it's been a hard decision. All cars I had before were Honda's, so it's still strange to own a VW. Thereby, only a bit of the money I put in the car came back when I sold it, but that's the way it goes...

I am happy with my new car, I just wished I had the time and money to have both the Polo and the Aerodeck! :(
