Those are aftermarket, not JDM, I think anyone who wants to sell some garbage on ebay, they slap JDM on it and up the price 60 bucks. They also only fit Sedans, and don't include the inner tails so you have a mismatched set of tail lights.

thats the reason i never bought them because they wouldnt match... and plus if you want really nice tails just tint them with LEGAL light tint it makes a huge difference and it cheaper than those...

I don't think those are legal ("MOT" vs DOT), and their pictures don't help because they're all photoshopped.

Yea did'nt really care about the jdm part just like the way they look. Thought they would kinda work but since i gotta hatch it looks they wouldnt work anyway. Thanks for info. Think i'll keep em stock

idk about seattle but in georgia they are because of the honeycomb deisgn. the cells or something in them conforms to light and alllow the same amount of light to come through the tint as the stock ones would anyways

most people on here that want 'tinted' lights use VHT Nightshades or something similar. thats what ive used on a few cars with good results.

The hatch tail lights can be cleared by this method however. So the last post only applies to sedan and coupes. OP is good to go if he wants to clear his tails this way.

not boiling water, boil a big pot of water, take it off of the heat then submerge the lights in it, you want the hot water to get inside of the light housing also to loosen the glue

Are those street legal where you are?

Are those street legal where you are?

They're legal all over the US. All you need for the rear are 2 red tail/brake lights, 1 red high mount, 2 amber/red turn signals, 1 red side marker (per side), and one reverse light (minimum for all).

Yes it's easy, You just cut the entire top section off the center tail off with a table saw for a clean cut..trace the bottom light onto some plexi glass and flourescent light cover material. Glue the plexiglass and florescent light cover material together to make one lense then glue that piece to the top part of the center taillight

Off topic but any suggestions for removing textured paint? Someone who had the hatch before I did gave all the lights a black coat with some textured type paint.....

I know you can take apart the tail lights by useing a heatgun or boiling water to soften the glue. After you get it apart is there any way to remove cracks from the plastic casing? not the light stuff, just the clear stuff that keeps water out.

cracks or scratches? scratches can be fixed just like you fix headlights on civics, you use a progression of sandpaper up to around 1500-2000 grit wet or dry, then use Plastix polish on it

My hatch tails have been holding up nicely...They haven't even started to yellow yet. I need to buff them out though to give them that glossy finish that new tails have. Has anyone done this to their tails? I'll get some more pics of the ones o my hatch this weekend

nah, that are cracked all the way through so water can get in. When it does it sets for a day or 2 too ><.

My dad when he owned the car as a teen, got angry and kicked it, causing the plastic casing to crack all the way through. Ill take some pictures tommorow and post.
