so per our talks at the last big flippin meet, how about we all do Import Alliance come 2011?

I usderstand that for some it will be rather much.

For me personally its a 12-14 hr drive depending on traffic/stops. I know if it was any longer than that I probably would not go since it would require an overnight stay just to get there. Well Might drive for 18 hrs, but thats the absolute most.

Not to mention not only will we get to see more than 2 5geez in one spot, but we can check out other cars as well. :D

Its like 2k miles one way for the west coast members. Your talking like 5 or 6 days just in travel time round trip. 30 plus hours in a car one way is def more hardcore than me, especially just for a 2 day thing. Hell 20hrs last time was alot for me.

Lol Vinny thats always a plan. IA of 09 was kinda unorganized to me as well, but you got to admit our crew had some fun times. Not to mention that somehow we all got in for FREE! We didnt even go on Sunday, (IA is a Sat and Sun event) and just hung out and had fun before we left.


Wooo hooo Carot's thinking about coming! lol Nah but seriously though guys, the import scene has kinda died off and IA is the biggest thing around on the kinda east US.

I was speaking to someone whos company was one of the sponsors for IA (CCW Wheels) and he said 2010 IA almost doubled in size from 2009. If its like that theyre going to need a different/bigger track come next year.


Either way this is just a thread to get us all interested in meeting up some place.

Yes the older one's (the 1998-05's are because the "Jap's" had something to do with the making of PARTS for them exspecially the automatic transmissions) mine is a 03 with the 6speed auto tranny in it so I know, and have fixed mine myself. And VW did put a 7yr 100,000 mile warrenty on the problem areas when they found out about the "Japs" cutting corners but they just didnt tell the public about it:dunno:. The 06 and newer are made in Germany now so alot of the problems has been delt with. You may hate yours but I love mines!
