I can't believe after 6 years I still remember my login to this place...

Okay, hi, I'm Julie- I'm far from new on here but prob new to this crew ((if there's anyone still around here....))
I have an Alpine cda-9847. I'd love for it to have the handy dandy aux jack so I could plug my iPhone into it, however, there's not one that I can find. After much google-ing, I've found that there is such a thing as an adapter for it that I can plug into the back of the head unit and run an aux chord from there.
My concern with this is, what if the chord comes unplugged and how do I keep from jacking up my stereo by doing this...
I'm a 2005 graduate of WyoTech, mechanically inclined but technology challenged...
I've also got 2 12' subs that I need to trade out for 10s since the large magnets prohibit me from sticking them under my backseat. But when I do get around to that, will all that adapter mess be in the way of hooking up my speakers?
The easy solution seems to be to get a new head unit that's got the aux jack in the front, but its a last resort because I love my Alpine so much and I've finally got to where I know how to operate the stinking thing.

Anyone have an adapter? experience with this? anything?

I've always ran Alpines in my cars, On my 89 and my 88 I have the cable geddy has listed and have no problems with it.
They both plug into the CD Changer Output/Input on the back of the decks

Ford makes an aux out kit, it comes with a female jack though...their stuff used to be made by alpine but I can't vouch for that now.
Carefull how much you spend getting this done, you could take a litte more and get a new deck with usb, mp3 ipod jack etc..:thumbup:touchscreen, video blah blah blah

I had that same deck in my Accord. Ai-Net -> RCA adapter is what you need. That one ghettogeddy linked is the right one you want. It won't pop out, because it clicks in.

and to answer the other question, no it won't interfere with the addition of subs or any other outputs on the deck. The only thing that might get tricky is if you want to add XM/ Sirius or a CD Changer in the future but still not too hard just a swapping of cable.
