recomendtions on install

im an audio nub. got a 400w rms/ 800w peak audiobahn sub for free and have a 600w rms 2ch amp
whats the best way to hook it up? never had a dual coil sub before and the amp has more power then needed and i dont wanna blow it lol

provided your other speakers are correctly phased, I would go dual channel and turn source unit bass to about 60% then adjust the gain on the sub amp to suit your space using a bass testing cd or mp3.
thats how I would do it anyhew...im no expert

^ Agreed. Thats how I have my dual coil running and it sounds great.
But you forgot one: 8ohm.
