I have the '89 electrical troubleshooting manual, 300 pages of circuits and explanations (it's available to the Forum now that Snooz has done the heavy lifting of scanning and uploading). I looked through it tonight, and cannot see any reference to the 3 (female) plugs you describe other than they're part of the picture of the front of the fuse box, labeled as "1" "2" and "3". I can't find any reference to what those plugs are for.

Sorry.

On the Elect manual, they are labeled 1 to 3 left to right, in the front view. So the "last one" you referred to is number 3? The "ignition" socket powers up when the car is turned on, is that #2? How about #1?

What is it you are trying to accomplish with these three terminals?

I used the one on the left #1 for my CD changer power. It was hot with the ignition in 1 or 2 position. #2 is hot with ignition in 2 only, #3 is dead at ignition switch 1 and 2 position, it could become live when ignition turned to start position IDK. My car is this way can't speak for others. The service manual doesn't have a mention of these three connection points that I have ever seen. Just read Pico's post about the #3 powering on with your headlights. the lights are on..........
