choosing parts

ok so ive been on alot of websites and have always run into some weird choice when choosing my car...
it'll say
year: 1988
make: honda
model: accord
trim: 4 dr lx-i
emmision and trans type:
the choices are:
KA4AT
KA5MT
KL4AT
KL5MT
i figure the MT or AT means auto or man. trans but what would the KA and KL 4 and 5?

KL California emissions

5 5speed
4 4speed
