View Full Version : 86 Prelude transmission?

On Craigslist here is an 86 Prelude parts car, with 5 speed manual. The Prelude has a dual-carbed A18A engine. The Prelude's transmission SHOULD swap into my automatic 88 Accord LXI with A20B3, correct? Would the shifter from the Prelude work also, or would it be the wrong length?

you need the prelude with the a20 series engine just like the one in the accord,stay away from that dual carb disaster, think the mess in the accord X2

What's the difference in transmissions? Starter location or bellhousing pattern?
