The thermowax valve on the water neck, by the thermostat. Does That Valve Open/Close My EGR Valve? Mine Broke, And I've Been Told To Block It Off, And My EGR Has Already Been Blocked Off. Would It Be Ok To Block Off The Thermowax Valve With A Brass Cap? It'd Save Me Nearly 80$...

I've Searched Many Times Through My 6 Repair Manuals, And Only Found The Carbeurated Version, Describing Another Valve That Looks Totally Different.

That Looks Like My IACV Near My Throttle Body.I'm Talking About A Ported Vacuum Switch. It Looks Simular To This Pic:

Some Sites, I've Read Ported Vacuum Switch's Are Important. Though, I Believe This One Connects To My EGR Valve, Which Already Has A Block Off Plate, With The EGR Valve Still Plugged In To Avoid Throwing Engine Codes. So It Seems To Me, It'd Make Sense To Just Plug It...But, IDK. I Can't Find Anything On The Thermowax Valve In Any Repair Manual I Have.

On some models (A20A3 engine) that was part of the Evaporative Emmisions system. Controls purging of the charcoal canster I think. Hoses would be #3 and #12.

That'd Be The One. Thanks. Think It'd Be Ok To Just Link Both With One Hose, No Thermowax Valve?

Not sure about that - this also ties to vacume advance so cannot be sure of effect - if really strapped for cash i'd get a JY part. Or Autozone has it...
