well, its been a very long 4 years. for you of you that know, i was the one that bought elijahs car and put my freshly rebuilt motor in there. its been semi-running for the last little while, and now im doing the finishing touches and cleaning up everything.
i was working on the car today and had it running, the idle was way too high, sitting at around 3200rpm. after turning the idle adjustment screw on the throttlebody, i brought it back to around 2900rpm. after tinkering with the timing a bit, it sits nice and steady at 2200rpm.
i unplugged the idle control valve(which threw out a CEL), and even then, it sits at around 1500rpm. i adjusted the timing and set it to around 15*BTDC and plugged it back in, and thats how it sat at 2200rpm.
ive checked for codes and none popped up at all. so i have no idea as to what to check next. does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong?
