well guys this was the super pro finals of the scca autocross and it was held in my home town so i went to check it out and this is wat i saw. it was pure awesomeness i was like this :jaw: the whole time.

and yes this is one of the new skyline gtr's it made my day when i got to sit in it.

Those FDs are crazy 3-rotor jobbies. Really nuts. Have been dominating SSM for a while now.

Also funny that all those little EF Si's have about $6-8k in Motons installed.

lol, good luck with that. 3 rotor FD is a wee bit expensive. I'm sure $30k easy when it's all said and done.

that wanna be trans am thing made me wanna puke. as far as the 3 rotor swaps i think the one guy i was friends with got a front clip from a Mazda eunos. I think he paid 3k for the front clip with something like 65,000 km on it. Im not arguing that fully done up swap may cost $30k, hell a friends 240sx with a sr20det swap, he's just about spent 50k on the car, i think it was about 10 k for the motor to be balanced and reworked, in addition to the suspension upgrades and all.

on a "budget build" i think it would be feasible with the purchase of the car to hit the $30k mark ( 3rd gens are typically around 10k in my area)

i like seeing a wide variety of chassis at events like these, nice to see a 944 and an old crx as well as a few SW20's and Lotus's.

I don't have much experience with any form of auto-cross, but i would assume they breakup the classes based on drive train style, or are there other class requirements.?

Yes, there are tons of rules.

This is nationals, so these are pretty much the best cars/drivers from the US. Over 1200 competitors this year.

I'm not talking $30k to just get an FD going, I'm talking at least $30k to build one of *those* FDs. Those giant-ass hoosiers are about $1200-1400 set.

but yea many many rules on where u are placed.

u know wats cool thow the lotus's were always against the corvettes and the corvettes got stomped on ever time haha
