my'06 30k mi corolla sustained 5k in damage to the rear 1/4, so when i told the wife i was going to keep the $ and not fix, she said that she would not ride in it. so its sold. as a result i'm bringing back to life her 1988 accord LX as my daily driver.

sorry no pics for now. but here's the info.....
purchased jan 1988 new
total stock lx 5sd grey on grey with only rear mud flaps added only, but the floor mats may have been extra. clear coat all but gone nice rust patina on the roof, drivers window not good, ac out for 12 years now, 185,000 mi.,and several other problems that need to be resolved.

you got that- and better mpg than anything out there today, and thats with a carb.

its hard to fault these 80s hondas. getting better mpg than cars have been lately with all the computer jazz in them. They only way they are going to get to meet these strict emissions and mpg demands is to make them like they were in the 80s!

Welcome to the site.

You're right. These 80's cars are quite close to perfection, much closer than these cars of today with all of their technically this that and the other.
I love my 24y.o. Accord. Would never rid of it.
