That one I think was $100. The rebuild kit usually runs about $40. I quit messing with them carbs after I got a 32/38 weber on ebay & rebuilt it.

I never tried any of the vacuum stage mods, but you probably won't have the problems these carbs are known for if you get rid of the 50 feet of vacuum lines they have.

That's the kit i got, but with so much removed i mighta been better off trying to order them individually from honda.

I agree, as long as the pics remain hosted. There are times I could have helped someone by a picture which wasn't handy at the time.

I've seen a carb very similar to this on a Civic, without all the speghetti mess but yet OEM.

Great thread demon!

That's nice work. I would worry about that float though. Depending on what tab is missing, the needle valve could never close or fall out when the float empties. Either way, you'll be walking home. Also, the floats like to develop leaks and sink and the car pretty much just stops wherever it is when that happens. I'd replace it for sure.

Btw, I do have a Civic 93 with a very similar carb, I live in Costa Rica. Honda Distributor in my country always provides version of cars different than the ones provided for US market. But there is a big market for imported used cars from US, so we usually have both versions on the street.

Very good thread, nice pictures!. Thanks for that!

EDIT: very nice job! (though I am glad I got a LX-i...)
