View Full Version : just checking but, does lude b20a3 mate up to 3rd gen accord chassis

I wanna do a swap. I have a a20(carb'd ) and I never hear of a 4th gen lude b20a3, or b21 bein swapped. So... can it be done, and is it an easy task. I don't wanna put in a b16a or b18c. That's not old skool

The engine tilts back so I would say no.

Unless you have time,money, and patience then you could drop in the motor if not then don't bother. But just do the FI A20a3 swap its much easier and less money on your swap.

this is correct, though converting from carb to efi (oem way) requires pulling apart half the car to do, it's not just as simple as swapping intake manifolds

Actually, B16's date back to 1988 (In JDM land anyway) Almost as Old school as our A20's

B20A3?? may aswell keep the stock engine. they suck!

I agree but the A came out in 84 so by 89 it was already outdated

oh yeah the b20a3 is not worth the swap

Thanks for the info fam. Think Imma swap the 87 a20 carb for the 89 FI.... then save some moola and get my beloved gold top B20!! Thanks again.... Hella info
