what is the metal bracket that mounts on the underside of the intake manifold? it almost looks like amount but it isnt

if its the one i'm thinking of, its a support bracket.
it takes the weight off the manifold studs

could grab a picture of it... but it is right bove the rear mount, almost touching it, it has 2 bolts that bolt up to the underside of the manifold. kind of a triangle shape

Where does it bolt to? And is it really neccesary?

ut bolts to the block, i ran a few cars witout it, its there for a reason, but in my case dident hurt removing it
