I know right long over due to take some pictures of it. I got some springs and some work to put into it .IL get a before and after. Good point tho. Its been sitting for a couple months really. And i popped the hood on it and was surprised how clean the motor is considering its not all modded up .IL get a couple motor pics too .

Sweet thanks you guys i know it needs some work . I just like the size 17 inch rims on this car lowered. But im looking.I might get one more set of tires on this set with some black paint because there beat pretty bad. I got some more pics today. Shes been sitting a lot the last year and a half really . But Shes still not that bad Just needs her daddy .

Oh snooz its bad on one side. Rusted threw the passenger side rear wheel well. The bumper bracket area is gone. So i guess the solution would be to cut the inside area where the bracket was and then form a corner with some light weight sheet metal and rivet it in with some glue then paste some undercoat paint on it ? The problem with it is the bracket area on the inside of the panel where it holds the bumper to align it would be hard so a bolt might have to be due on it.
The dings just need to be filled really and right rear spot is the worst..


Id have to pic up a hood and Trunk lid and do a lot of sanding.:help::help:


But im cool with it dinged up :rocket: Until i can afford to pay someone to do it for me Because i have no place or tools to do body work and paint.
It will sit all dinged up.
For now i got to get her suspension right.
Its leaning all weird .

Sweet put my rims on, And i like them. They will look better when i lower it, probably doing that tomorrow. If i can figure out were to get a spring compressor for basically no money because i don't really have any to spend on it.
Also tomorrow im hitting the junk yard and pulling some rear lower control arms. My camber is all jacked on that side and when i took the knuckle off last they looked bent.
Also took my bad batterie to auto zone in which they gave me a new one thak god it was under warrenty.
I looked at my front upper control arm and the ball joint has play in it on the top of it. Weird. So im returning that and getting a replacement free.Love warrenties...
So the sun was out today and my Honda got some love .
After i drop it il send the before and after pictures with the rims..

Snooz u know i got my springs right. There a 2 inch drop.
And i dont think that the compressor from autozone is going to work with the stock springs up front. Do u think it will fit in between them?
I got my springs from Hondamonster a couple weeks ago and he told me i dont need the compressor to get them on my struts. So im just worried about taking the stock ones off.
Was even just going to go to the junk yard and pop off the lower ball joint on a car there and the lower bolt on the struts and just stand on the other side and take the top bolt off and see whata happens.

And i was told that i can just take the top bolt off and then jack the car up and the spring will come off but i dont want to get it in a bind up in my wheel well..and be screwed.
But yeah once this thing gets dropped these rims are going to set it off.

And Ducantu I stole these rims basically i gave the dude 180 bucks and a ps3.. There in very good condition and they have yokohamas on them WITH ALOT OF TREAD. .. I love em to death way better than my old focals in which i still have..

Yep i got it from the same thing a hatch ..I put spacers in it to make it sit down more. I dont really like it tho it just makes it look better with the rest of my kit. I wish i still had my Kaminari fornt cover that broke i shouldnt of thrown it away . Il get another Kaminari one as soon as i can afford it . But yep Charlie its from a 88 integra hatch .

Ok sweet i got the front springs on there. I took the top bolt off then jacked it up and then popped out the bottom bolt and the springs were loose then . Looks a million times better tho. I didn't do the rear springs , and not even sure if i am going to . I like how it sits now its real dirty but big improvement already.

The motor had around 150 thousand on it.. Im going to swap out the long blcok on it i think. Not sure yet... Gotta make sure....Popped the hood and u can hear it pretty bad.
So i gotta look and see what i can get a long block for at the jy. The one i put in it i got for 75 bucks in northern kentucky a couple years ago . but im far from there now in michigan... so i gotta make calls tommorow ..

I could just imagine the amount of wiring and so forth needed to get it running right with the v tech. But is it possible to do all your own gauges and just a ecu to run ? Im clueless but i think its actually more simple than what everyone thinks it is as far as getting the wiring right. I think with the right understanding of how the wiring goes the easy part it just swapping and adding wires form what i read in a someones thread.
I dunno but it would be nice for sure and would suite this cars size with having the power a b20 block an bring u. Alot of work tho but would defiantly be a satisfying investment

I Got my motor and it was in terrible condition. Like is sat out in the cold and rain for a season....
So i stripped her down and im going to just swap over my intake and repaint the exhaust manifold And cover. Its in alot better condition than the one i got.


I stripped the JY motor down to the long block . I just degreased the whole block then scrapped on it with a couple flat heads a couple times in some bad areas .and wiped it down twice and reshot it with degreaser for the night. There is a lot of stain on the head around the plugs that i wanna hit again and clean it up better .
I didnt get any paint yet.
Auto zone only had like red black and blue in the high heat Paint.. I Need Black and Silver .
I grabbed a new valve cover gasket tho .
Im leaving all the brackets on the block and just paint bolt bracket and all. Including my wire harness clamps that are all rusty .
I Got as far as the wire harness on the motor im pulling out. And a couple ins and outs. But if forgot my jack stands and i dont make messes. So the sun gave me enough work light....
So tomorrow im back on it. I should have her in and running and looking good on Sunday. Just to make her special
I cant wait to pull it tho. I got to rent another engine hoist so im tryin to get it to a in and out thing. I might have to have it for two days because i have to do the radiator too and im going to pull it with the motor out and i want to clean the engine bay as good as i can,

High temp paint silver looks great .. Painted a much dirt off as i could ..

Tomorrow im finishing up building the motor . Then pulling out the old motor and cleaning the rest of the engine bay out and tranny. I want to paint the tranny but im leaving it in the car we will see what i can do. I have a whole can of black maybe il just paint it black i donno...The silver paint comes out looking great tho.

A couple minor things . . .. Code 7 on check engine light....What is it ? ?
And the damn thing wont stop idling at 2500 Every thing is were it is supposed to be...Not sure why yet . . .Any ideas?

Thanks Everyone...it pays off to spend the extra day cleaning and painting it..Its defiantly not perfect ..But its a huge difference .I need to clean the intake and alcohol off the sticky stuff off it since i took the PGMI sticker off..The power stearing pump need to be cleaned also and the line painted when the two bolts are.

its on the backside of your tb. the little black sensor. maybe its just loose or got over-looked during the swap.

I got a good question for ya Pico....What is the assembly called that the spedo cable connects to into the transmition .There are 2 hose lines that are connected to it also .

Becuase i broke one clip off of it and just skipped it out of the loop .

Yeah shes all tweakin now ...DAMN HELP

Im going to have to go grab a different throttle position sensor form the Jy tomorrow . I tweaked it out by putting a manual one on without the cv cable. Even thought i lost the code 7 my tranny Is slipping all crazy becuase i had no clue about it.
I changed over the throttle linkage from the auto but the tranny is still slipping even after i checked the tv cable and it switches gears jsut fine until it warms up then goes nowere in anygear until you turn it off then turn it back on then it goes back into gear and repeats itself.
So i got to mess with it today .
Start it and it sounds like its got a blower on it .rapid low level rev. And flashed a code 14.I figured out about the air idle control valve took it apart and cleaned it and put it back on. It was still throwing the same code so i drove it while it was giving me the code and not at any time did it spin in between going into gears. After i drove it for a second then turned it off it lost the code but and went to a bad egr idle. then went back to slipping .
So im going to go get a tps sensor / throttle housing / egr valve / speed sensor and a different idle control valve sensor from my car in the Jy .
I think if i replace all of those things im going to fix my problem...
At least im hoping so .

But shes not doing so good and tomorrows the day ..
Any ideas why shes slipping? I don't think that its my tranny going out for some reason .Its just weird how it shifts good right after u start it back up after it went out.

Prolly somthing to do with the speed sensor housing that i broke a clip off of that i thought was tranny fluid that ran threw it..

Its been some time...
Figured out that my serge problem is my distributor..I got a TDC ecu code 8 .When i put this old distributor i had on it. But i lost the low idle 1500 -1750 serge i had.. So im looking at trying to rebuilding one of them...Although i have never done it.Id sure in the hell save the money.. The one i put on seems like its getting stuck sometimes in the dizzys rotation ? and it will pop a little . Then sometime it wont pop and the check engine light wont come on.the code.

Its been some time...
Figured out that my serge problem is my distributor..I got a TDC ecu code 8 .When i put this old distributor i had on it. But i lost the low idle 1500 -1750 serge i had.. So im looking at trying to rebuilding one of them...Although i have never done it.Id sure in the hell save the money.. The one i put on seems like its getting stuck sometimes in the dizzys rotation ? and it will pop a little . Then sometime it wont pop and the check engine light wont come on.the code.

WELL BOYS ... WE MOVED .TRAILER AND ALL ...BROUGHT HER DOWN TO FLORIDA..!!! she hasnt been running for awhile.. and it its comng down to needing her as a every day driver again.

I had went to the daytona beach junk yard and got a new spindle. since i broke 2 lug studs 3 times on the same spindle, and a lower control arm . that the inner bushing went bad on the other side.
I had a old distributor on it that went bad when i got her going yesterday sp i went back to another one i had and the code 9 disappears that poped up yesterday ..
Today ... i put the spindle on and put the other dis. i had back on. still cant figure out what the serge is from and why i am idled so high.. i still get the 1200 -1500 surge ..and i need it gone liek asap..
Funny thing i found today was the upper motor mount bolt was gone and the mount was basically nothing..lol
I so need to get one.It doens help when the frekaing thing slamms in gear at high idle serge...
Its a real pain in the ass..

Anyways she lives...
I need some good ideas to kick this idle deal in the ass...

I assumed you did most of this already, but here's what I can think of that you can look at

1) Clean IAC Valve.
2) Check Coolant Level
3) Make sure the cooling system has no air in it, bleed the MoFo out of it.
4) check for any codes
5) check voltage at Coolant Temp Sensor
6) Maybe try to Seafoam the engine (???)
7) Do a compression Check

I did everything besides the foam , a compression check , or the voltage from the coolant temp sensor. I never thought it could be that .. i had to replace it once.....imma go look at it right now and make sure that the wire is in there.. and connected properly .i dont have a meter to check the voltage

I did notice one thing tho and correct me if im wrong arnt the 2 plugs on the thermo housing different ? like the plugs are supposed to be differnt right?
only the green will fit the left sensor on the thermo housing?
I redid some of the wire harness and i think i got the wrong plug on it and maybe put the wrong sensor in. ?

Time to get her back going...
She been sitting becuase of all the problems she has had . But i got to use her now . So i got to get her 100 percent again.
IM going to do a tranny flush and if that doesnt solve the problem im going to have to replace the transmition.
The idle problem .. Could be a million differnt things , So when i pull the tranmisiton im going to probably put another intake gasket , another set of injectors i have , new hose lines under the intake again , all new vacumn lines again , this other air idle control valve i have after i soak it ,(get at me with a good cleaning method on that) and the one of only things i havent done with the slut ,a new timing belt ---never did a timing belt ..Ive been leaning towards my timing being off due to the light rpm idle i get with the idle serge that i cant get to calm down .
So im gong to have to read up on the timing belt..shouldn't be to hard. il have the motor on the floor so it should be pretty easy and whats 20 bucks and a little time ?
If i leave my relay in for my ac fan .. it just turns on every once in a while for no reason . Never figured that one out either ...But it still does it for no reason ,, checked that and it did the same thing so until i get input on the problem with that il just leave the relay out for another 5 years..lol

both the plugs on the thremo housing are different, one for the TW sensor an the other is a switch for the radiator fan. The idle issue shouldn't be that hard, just follow the instructions Pico gave you or follow the ones in the the repair manual (very handy). Does the fan turn off after a while if you leave the relay in?

:rockon: yea .. if u keep the relay in for the ac compressor it comes on and off when ever .. thats why i just took it out and left it out.. never figured that out.
With the idle iVe tried everything... its still sitting in the garage . im shooting for next weekend to do the tranny.. im going to have to pull one from the JY.
Gota picture on what each sensor looks like on the thermo housing... im thinking i have the wrong ones on it. i had rewired some points on the wireing harness and i think i hosed it up and put the wrong sensor in. all i know is that i can put the wire on either sensor and i thouhgt they were differnt.

Yea sounds like your timing may have jumped a tooth. Mine is basically doing the same thing. Ill start it up and it will sit around 1500 but then after driving and warming up she sit at 2000 in park and wont go down. I set her up for TDC to see how bad she is off and cant see the timing marks so im gonna go ahead and change the timing belt while im resetting her.

Maybe those sensors are cause your idle problems. I don't have a pic but I can get you one.

It just might be the prob with the idle serge..and yeah a pic would be great also if u could check to mmake sure that the plug wont fit both sensros would be great.
And it would be like a day later and the fan would kick on for no reason

My idle basically will rev at 2000 when warming up . then when it does it jump from 1250 to 1750 give or take a few until u put it in gear then you have to hold the breaks down pretty good and its at 1000. another wierd thing it does is when ur rolling and you throw it into nurtral and come to a stop it doesnt idle weird until; you get to like 1 miles a hour then it goes to the serge

Both the plugs and sensors are different. The yellow plug goes on the blue sensor and black plug on the black sensor. I don't know which sensor in which! lol

Idle serge FIXED == Bad Intake Manifold gasket .

Transmission slip FIXED == Transmission Fluid Flush .

Got a couple hours in this week on The Honda . Glad i did..There was 2 one inch missing pieces on the manifold gasket . When i seen it i was like thank god. Alot of work . I got stuck on the 2 bad nuts on the bottom of the intake . Took my buddy 5 minutes to thread both after my 2 hour fail session. I painted the intake the same color i painted the exhaust manifold. SUPER CLEAN!!! :321:

I was happy to see the brown fluid when i flushed the transmission .I still Need to flush it a couple more times to get a full flush out of it. But it doesn't slip now. I had filled it up with some real cheap ATF when i threw this motor in it and wow was that stupid.

But shes back...After 3 years of sitting .. 2 tires and new tags and shes back on the road.
