is it possible to ditch the buckets on the 89 and replace with the 90 style headlights... i have been thinking about this for a few weeks now but im not really sure... i know there will be some welding and sheet metal work but that dont bother me at all....

you'll need the bonnet, fenders, lights & you'll prolly want the bumper with it too and make it all fit. since metal work doesn't bother you any, then yes, very possible

hondaman87 (i think?) has done the same thing

I would just install the 3g fixed lights. It flows better with the body lines.

too much work for just having the headlights like that. I agree the best would be to get the edm fixed front end to use as parts.

I WILL have this conversion done to my car within the year! That's a for sure thing. I just have to have someone import Mitford me and find me a minty one. Does anyone in the US have this conversion at all?

I wonder if the easiest way for you would be to get one from South America, I think they got the fixed light models too.

It would be cheaper to get one from there.

Ive seen a 3g with a 94-97 accord front end conversion and needless to say it look like a civic from the front. bumper and fenders with 5th gen accord headlights. i gotta say the person that did that must of spent alot of money on it since it look pretty good with everything straight and not shitty like most conversions done.

It's one of those things where if you have to ask, you probably wouldn't understand.

Agreed. Flipups are part of the 3g's charm. Removing them is like converting your Supra Turbo to an NA supra to get better gas mileage, its a waste.

Eh, not really. The flip-ups are indeed cool but too many cars have them to call them unique, although the sedans are the only four doors I can think of with them.

i really didnt mean to cause an up roar lol... im just wanting better lighting out front... i cant find any good sealed duel beam lights that put out more light i have even considered the HID conversion but too many bad reviews on them leaking... So now what would be a good sealed beam???

is that all?? really? :bong:

for better lighting buy the H4 Hella or Autopal head lamps, HID kit and your set.

And/or idk maybe a good set of fogs??? You were thinking about cutting and welding and customs fitting something because of lighting... That's a first most people just add more or stronger lights

Uh, having separate high and low beams isn't going to be brighter than one high beam because the high beam just overtakes the low. Also, Sylvania Silverstars are plenty bright, and like Mark said, Hella and Autopal make good HID kids.

or you could do what i did :D buy a 55 watt HID kit lol now thats what i call better lighting:kekeke: i just dont drive it at night lol
