Visal's 89 LXi (Now with Pics)

I just bought a another accord!!! now im thinking what the hell i was thinking when i bought it well...actually signed the papers 5 minutes ago lol. Well its a 89 ( i think) Lx-i....375,000kms ( burns a bit of oil apparently), auto, white.

Body is not that bad, just a couple of rust spots not as bad as mine for sure. |I will post pics in the morning. One thing i found out was when im at a traffic light the car vibrates a bit, but when im driving along it doesn't at all ( rides better than my old 3gee) and it doesn't vibrate when i put it into neutral. Anyone know why?

I actually bought it as a parts car but my other one is 5 speed but well w.e it was only 275!!! and it runs beautifully and the interior is pretty clean as well. I will post pics tomorrow.

i have the same prob with the vibrating motion......but i dont think its a big of a deal....cause mine rides like a champ when i step on it (well not at this moment though)

Oh okay man thats nice to hear, i thought it might be a transmission mount or something...how long did it keep vibrating for?

Yeah dude i had the same thought when i got the AT compared to the MT, you might notice the interior makes vibrations too.. aparently its normal? i had a guy test drive it and he was all, meh, nothing wrong here. I just chalk it up on the board for another reason i love Manual.

Oh okay but i think the engine mounts are shot cause it vibrates quite a bit when changing to reverse etc...maybe when its cold? I dont know. And yeah 5 speed is way more fun to drive but AT is kinda relaxing sometimes lol

The beige is my daily, i had it for 15,000 kms ( about 5 months and it never let me down, i wouldnt have a second thought about starting her up and going for a long trip anywhere!)

the white one is the one i picked up, it has been undercoated its whole life so the underbody is good. There is some surface rust though...I was thinking maybe i will just swap the engine and gearbox from the beige one to the white one...

Or fix up the beige one with parts from the white one..the beige is my first car ever and i'm kind of attached to it and i dunno...its been so good to me

These rims are Pretty dirty but a refresh and a re paint ( maybe white?) would look amazing.

I just want to ask you if its worth it to pay $150 for them, The tires are cooper and the rear ones need replacing.

So are they worth my hard earned 150? lol im a uni student so....

And i'm going to mount them in the summer when i fix the rust ( and my 3gee wont ever see winter again)

Yep i got them. will post pictures soon. The rims are 16 inch but the tires have been stretched ..they were 15 inch TOYO Proxys P195/50R15

nice find. i've never heard of anyone stretching a 15'' tire onto a 16'' rim. measure the rim i think you just bought a set of 15'' rims. they are nice either way and you are gonna love the toyo proxes. they grip sooo friggin good, i don't think i'll buy any other type of tire for my 3gee again. imo those would look great if you polished the lip and painted the centers black.

Haha i do, i love it sooo much regardless of every "little" imperfection it has. Its a honest, happy and reliable little car. There is no rust in the front end of the car.

Btw i tried to lift the car with a jack and the rear jacks stands gave up :(

I think it needs a major restoration in the back area..i dunno what i can do. Still I will rebuild it little by little and have it ready by end of the summer i guess.
