The problem is I'm not that great with layers, or glossy things, and if I try and make it too flat it becomes noticeable. >.< Like this. Also your question, yes...yes it was. lol

1/4 of the wheels are prepped for paint. I'm not gonna fill in the curbage as they will prolly get curbed again in the future. this was the easy wheel cause it doesn't have a tyre attached to it

gloss. i think it'll be a real pain to keep the flat white clean from brake dust.

^ this, had flat white before it was a huge pain. gloss with a clear over it is easy to wipe down.

Gloss. And just a heads up, if you don't keep them clean every day or every other day they will become stained eventually...

hazwan, yes pls, you can do all my work that involves sanding & painting :)

I'm almost done. the bottom 3 wheels have paint, the top one i just put some primer on
http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/5362/img1256medium.jpg
apparently it will take days before the paint is 100% dried. I'll be pissed off x20 if it scratches off without much effort

I hope I have a matching tyre, or a couple tyres lying around somewhere for the one without a tyre

very nice! i'd throw quite a few coats of clear on them while you have the time just so you could wetsand alot of the imperfections out that you get over time w/ rims

A18A
04-06-2011, 06:14 PM
yes that is a good idea. I'm guessing it would also be good for preventing brake dust embedding itself into the paint over time?

outside weights suck...i like to use the inside weights but the ones they have at my tire shop are gray so i took a sharpie and painted them black

Man, those wheels look awesome! Shame you're missing that one center cap. Also, what the hell is up with that wheel weight? I would have murdered that shop for not putting the weight on the inside. Now the paint's all fucked up under it.
