rod/stroke, not bore

it affects the lateral force on the cylinder walls.

imagine a crank (hopefully u know what a crank looks like) the part the rod connects (that sticks out from center), that part from it top apex to its bottom apex is the stroke. the distance the piston will travel each rotation.
now the rod length. when the rod is on the crank, it creates angles in the rotation and some of the force is directed into the cylinders.
if the angles are extreme, it is very hard on the cylinders, pistons, and rings.

'perfect' is a 1.75. the B16 is 1.74. GSR/ITR is 1.58. LS/CRV is 1.54. our engines are 1.52 (at best memory). the B20A's are 1.49
