Automatic from A20-A to B20-A?

Would a transmission off a 2.litre carby (A20) work on a injected 2.0SI ??
All the cheap trannys are all off carbys :idea:

From what I have Heard you need the Bellhousing from a B18 (1.8 DOHC CARB) Gearbox to Use a A20 Gearbox, That is for manual gears tho, never heard anything with a automatic.

automatics, yeah I believe you can use the B20 housing and A20 internals, but I am not sure of a confirmed hybrid yet.. see the B20 section.
The torque converter set up is definately different Im sure of that because it is solenoid controled on the B20. Look at the hydralic schematics, I believe I saw those on the factory manual for EDM models.
You would want to use an 89 auto if you can because they are better.

you need to go to pick a part lower hutt ive raided like 4 b20a gearboxes there. last time there was a b18a box there but its prolly gone now
