Yeah thats correct Nio. I put standard suspension in it again. Everything will be restored to factory specifications, just like in the catalogue picture..

That's one clean accord, I wish that was all my car needed to look as good as yours :(

@Dr_Snooz - it will be a complete nut and bolt rebuild to factory spec. It will take a long time to complete, but the car is going no where.

@odbdriver6 - the car is very rusty around the arches and the other odd patch here and there, hence no close up pictures! I just wanted to see how clean the original paint came up before I interfere with it repairing arches, etc. The car hasnt been never been repaired or painted before..

Kiss that paint goodbye as soon as the welder comes out.

sure i know.. thats prob why im holding back on it.. i hate to spoil the original paint.. but the rust is getting worse so its gotta get sorted sooner rather than later..

I will elimate all the rust first, then it will go for a full body respray so there is no variances in colour between panels.

You're gonna pull all the glass, gaskets, trim, latches, handles and locks. That way paint gets everywhere.

Oh and probably the interior too. These cars rust in places you wouldn't imagine, and you won't find it until you start digging. Trust me, you want to dig before you want to paint again, or you'll find it and have to start all over again.:deadhorse:

Yeah every nut and bolt will be taken out, and meticulously cleaned before going back onto the restored body..

The front screen needs to come out anyways as it has a crack so will take out the back one aswell.

Makes me jealous to see this car, very good job in engine bay restoration, so clean. I wish my car engine could be like that someday.

Thanks dude. I still have a bit to go yet, as in new spark plug leads, a new hose kit, and i will be picking up a zinc plating kit sometime in future to re plate the metal brackets and screw heads etc..

Although I picked up a new toy last week which has the restoration progress slowed down a bit..

Hmmm.. never thought about interior pics.. suppose i will want to give the carpet a good shampoo and get the camera out again. the car is tucked away in the corner of the garage at the min with alot of parts from the spare accord lying around it..
