.... so im getting ready to take the car for smog and i decide to do the egr test where you manually open the egr valve to see if the car shuts off... mine had no response... i thought the egr valve was bad so i took it off and what i saw amazed me... the intake side of the egr was full of carbon... so now i get to the question portion of my statement.... how do i clean this out? i need this thing to pass emissions... and with all the carbon that i saw... theres no way exhaust gas is passing through there without some help... any tips or tricks to clean this carbon out?
