Being that these cars are getting old, and most have more than 250,000 miles on them, I'd like to see how they're holding up. I know a few of you guys do UOA through Blackstone Labs. I've ordered up a kit for my daily driver, hoping to squeeze more miles from my oil. It got me thinking about how much it can help us learn about these engines, and whether or not we really NEED the additives like ZDDP.

If you have results from a UOA, please feel free to post it up here. If we get enough interest, we'll sticky it and maybe make it an FAQ so we have the hard data to look at.

Hmm would be interesting to see the results.

While the kit is free, the oil analysis costs $25.00.

Maybe if we get a sample size large enough, we can use this to compare suspect motors with known good motors. IIRC, Blackstone does do bulk pricing, so we might be able to see some savings if we all want to do some testing on our 3geez.
