yeah. thought i should post some pictures of it, other than just the one i posted in the intro thread.

here it is.

recently fixed her up a little, from an oil problem turning out to be just the pcv valve.. lol, o2 sensors, and coolant sensor..
now its running great and im happy.

plans for it are going to be a small lower, new paint, and eventually boost the a20.

what do yall think? ( its a little dirty right now, i drive it about 100 miles a day.. yea i know the wires under the dash are sagging, ill pick them up. also the wires under the intake feed are under it, i need to put them back on top. )

Not bad looking. I find it kinda funny that you and Doward have about the same car, and you're really not far from each other. I really like the SEi wheels, always have.

well i went to the junkyard today. to look for cupholder addon, armrest and a front lip for under the bumper. well i only managed to find an armrest.
it was pretty cheap. i got it for only $5. :)
the fabric is in bad condition. and it doesnt match my interior.
so, i left the bottom the grey.. doesnt match still but its not to bad.
and recovered the top with a super ghetto upholstery job. :rice:
after cleaning it that is.
by the way.. i used an old t-shirt for the fabric.. lol.

edit... im going to add that, i paid just 500 for this car. 4 years ago.. but its been sitting lol.

here it is before:

Someone is selling a red factory armrest on here. Don't pay more than $20 for one, though. People try to sell them for $50+ when they're readily available for ten bucks...

LOL, nice score. Like your SEi wheels vs my damn 14" steelies + broken hubcaps ;)

I'll get new wheels and tires eventually, though. We've got the same color combo - red interior + pewter (champagne?) exterior!

yeah i seen your thread also. looking good.
and i think ill keep the wheels on it for a while, im lowering it at the end of the week when my stuff comes in from ups.
those wheels should look nice still when its lowered.
going to just lower it with the stock struts for now.. yeah its prolly gonn bounce pretty bad but ill buy better struts soon enough. i cant buy it all at once.

Your cars are Seattle Silver Metallic (ssmca6<3), similar to 1986-1988's Misty Beige Metallic (the color of my coupe (http://i51.tinypic.com/2a4tmbq.jpg)). The Champagne was the piss-gold DX/LX color.

gotta pull off my air idle valve in the morning.. light popped on and it started running like crap on the way home from a friends tonight..
hopefully i can fix it. im not to thrilled about buying a new one for 150..

as far as the colors are, im not sure what color i wanna get it repainted..
also are 3g coupes sorta hard to find? cause.. there is now 3, 4 door 3g's in the junkyard.. not one coupe. and i would love to find either grey, black or beige interior.. but being all i can find is 4 doors i dont see it happening lol.

cant believe i forgot the main thing i needed from the junkyard when i went..
need a new oil pan.. te people who had it before me stripped the bolt hole out, and have a bolt ran from the inside out in the pan.. so i can not change my oil unless i drop the pan.. lol

think im gonna go with pearl white when i paint it.

and also my springs came in today. ive got the front lowered already, working on the back now. and ill post some pics when im done.

my front struts are totally blown, not sure about the back but willing to bet they are also.
ill buy new struts soon enough. just gotta be careful driving it.
its not totally bottomed out, the springs still have some absorbing power i took it for a ride with just the front done, and it still rides good.

Here is the pics of now lowered accord.
drop zone 2.25 drop, i went ahead and went with them because the other ones i was looking at were only 1.6 inch drop.

but. one more thing, it doesnt even bounce. even with shot struts it rides really good.
no bounce, no bottom out. the springs are surprisingly stiff.

the front springs settled a little since ive took the pics. and its not really higher in the front as the pics appear.

also im going to repaint my trim and flaps and put the flaps back on soon.

i wonder.. were cupholders and armrests optionable in sei's?
if they were.. could be a small chance that its an sei with a replaced back tail light assembly.
edit. well. come to think about it, i dont think it could be. sei came with rear disk brakes always right?
mine are rear drum so i guess it would be out of the question.

Since you asked: All SE-i's had cup holders and center consoles with armrests standard. You could get an optional slave equalizer or compact disc player. LX-i's had all of these, strictly as options. You'll find some LX's with factory armrests, maybe some rare DX's. Do not settle for that dealer armrest. You can find a red armrest in any body style of LX or LX-i, if the exterior color is white, red, beige, or silver. Click here (http://3geez.wiki-tv.com/Available_colors) for factory color combinations. Some are missing pictures, some are missing altogether, and some are slightly incorrect.

sorry not the best pictures. but they work..
and no thats not paint on the clutch cable, that is the sunlight.
also if anyone wants to know.. yes i did buy a new valve cover gasket.. i think the old one was leaking anyways..
if it wasnt then i have a small mystery oil leak somewhere.. either distributor gasket or something.. the oil oozes out infront of the distributor on the edge of the head.

Can you break down how you painted all your trim? (Materials etc)

well. i bought masking tape, doesnt have to be the expensive kind. but you can if you want. i bought 2 rolls of like $1.89 a roll 1 inch wide tape, 2 cans of rustoleum flat black protective enamel, i think about $6 each and a few newspapers.
washed the trim, dont sand it. it will make it all grainy unless you use a real fine sandpaper. even then it might idk, i just didnt sand it and it looks great.
next i started masking it all off, i tried to get under the edges of the trim so i didnt get any spray on the actual car.( you could always remove the trim from the doors and fenders to eliminate having to mask them off, i didnt do this i didnt feel like removing door panels. )you cant do that on the bumpers cause its built on so i just got it in a straight line as good as i could.
then added a second strip of tape a little higher overlapping a small portion of the existing, just for better coverage. then taped the newspaper on top and bottom taping the seems of the papers together so no spray gets between the papers also.. then just started adding coats of paint. remember to do lighter coats so you dont get runs in it. a few coats is best.
let it dry then remove all the masking. then its good to go

There used to be an SEi running around here that had a cloth interior. It had been swapped when the leather wore out. The big things to look for are the Bose stereo and the rear disk brakes. If you have those, you either bought a car that's been around here or you have an SEi.

well, I bought some new struts today. will put them in as soon as i can after they arrive to my door :)

also... im still dumbfounded by how my 3g has some sort of lsd in the front end.. its definetly using both wheels as grip unless certain cars came with lsd or similar someone must have done work on this car in the past...
also. various things have been tampered with under the hood, such as the valve cover has been off in the past. i know this because the gasket i removed was not stock. who knows what else they messed with.
im the third owner of this car guy i bought it from told me he got it from the original owner.

well i hope this isnt to off topic... but i spent today doing.. 3 hours at the junkyard gathering parts to fix my moms wrecked car.. something she did last friday early saturday morn.. she ripped the whole right rear suspension out along with breaking the spindle, and trashing the strut. ill post some before pics, you can see the lower suspension arms all twisted up.. and the other damage. they are all night pics sorry but still see-able.

after the junkyard run i got most of the car repaired today, due to having tonight off of work. ill finish it when i wake up..
also will post a current state pic at the end of damage pics.

all nUsed suspension links
nUsed sway bar. and mounts.
nUsed strut assembly.
nUsed spindle.
nUsed full rotor assembly.
basically full nUsed right rear end. lol.

also while at the junkyard i managed to pick up a awesome set of ngk plug wires for my 3g :) i still gotta clean them up though. its to late tonight.

we need to bring the tire from that side in to get taken off the rim, all cleaned, and remounted.

hes gonna end the auction for $90 for me, i guess its not that bad of a deal. seeing as people on here sell cupholders and armrests for like 40-45 each. so the whole unit for 90 i can live with that.

well, in way it does match.

everything higher than the dash is tan. roof pillars and everything.
so i think it will look good. and if i ever manage to find the other tan interior im going to swap it out. i like the tan inside the best.

and for the price, really its fine with me i guess..
i mean, ill prolly never find another complete setup like that at one time, so im willing to do it.

i printed it out on a piece of paper, darkened the lines with a fine point sharpie and cut it out with an exacto knife.
then reinforced it with tape.. then cut it out of tape.. then taped it to the inside of the window. and then cut a smooth small line around the image on the window so it will still stick and then removed the rest..

full set of 4-door oem window rain guard things. ( they are FOR SALE ) pm me if you want them.

(its just a little dirty the plastic and fabric re mint just need to be cleaned.
a replacement oil pan, which was the main reason i went. the people who had my car before me stripped mine out, and put a bolt from the inside with a nut on the outside... making it impossible for me to change my oil.. lol

and lastly i found a front lip off of a volvo wagon that i will be adapting to fit on my front bumper.

paint. ( white )
new ball joints all around. ( all shot )
new rims / tires. ( Rota track r's )
white spokes with green lip.
http://i419.photobucket.com/albums/pp280/arracing09/Rota/0f4c7de3-1.jpg

and then, either get another a20 and fully build it, obd1 conversion with boost.
or. b18c built pretty well with boost.

i really dont know what i want to build.
i really like the a20's built but i would love a b18..

also, if there is any possibility, could anyone let me know a list via pm, on what all i need to do obd1 conversion. and where to get the stuff.. because im new to honda, and dont know what works with a20s and what doesnt.

all in all, im going to start working up for the paint here soon. maybe within a few months.
then the rest will follow i suppose.

and in the end, ill have the baddest ca6 around here  well.. i guess i already do.. since no one else around here has one :kekeke:

well, as many things as i change my mind on i dont know when im going to build the motor lol.

my tires in the rear are getting worse and worse by day, cant find any used 14s around here so i went ahead and bought a new set of 15's today..

they are Drag Dr-20's. i changed my mind from the rotas.

15x7 40mm offset.

not putting them on until i get my ball joints fixed, which im about to buy those too.

here are the rims, and arms.

forgot to mention i also bought a air idle valve off of some random 3g, trying to find a fuel injected 3g in daytona is near impossible. so i scored good on that one also.

they had all 4 rims on the car but i only bought 2.
if i didnt buy new rims already i would have just got all of these and stuck with them i think they look awesome.

they came off of a 1987 vw cabriolet.
the 2 in the rear of that car has brand new falken tires on them, but one was dryrotted so i only took 1 from the back and 1 from the front. i didnt clean them yet. i will though

if anyone likes them the rims are called "avus" they came on 80's VW's.
and they are kinda pricey, full sets selling for 200+

lude arms will go on soon, how do i adjust them? do i need to drill holes so the arm can slide when you loosen the nuts?

yea, ive been looking for other lips every time i venture to the jy.
im going soon though to take those vw wheels back so i can get my $60 back..
i will be searching for good 195-55-15's, another lip, amber fogs, "rare" 3g accessories, you know that kinda stuff.. this lip wouldnt be that bad if it wasnt short on the sides. i could cut it in the middle and make something to fit the middle and it would be even on the sides and stuff.. but for now its ok

Convenienze

I'm not sure why but it might be because my driveway is a little weird.
but its actually higher in the back when it is sitting.
during acceleration the back does squat a bit. but im only running drop zones and tokicos. so its just a little soft.

what else are my options other that ksports? they are way to much for my income even if i saved the money to buy them i wouldn't want to.

update. my strut was not blown.

when i installed the struts i forgot the washer under the dust cover, so the dust cover was the only thing supporting the rubber grommets and the dust cover from sliding down the pole. well it all slid down the pole and well the strut was not compressing, it was just sliding upwards out of the top of the shock tower. if you know what im talking about then yeah thats what happened all is well now and back to minimal bouncing. :)

going to purchase a new vacuum advance thing for my dizzy here shortly. prolly later today, mine is shot. hopefully im running a little better after that.

EDIT: it turns out you can not buy them from autozone, as the vendor no longer sells these.
options turned to ebay.

also ive still got a little problem if anyone knows what it could be im sure some of you have had the same issue, under load around 1500 till like 2200 about.. i get a fast ticking noise that sounds almost like a solenoid spazing out ? maybe its the valves, im going to adjust the lash in a few days ill see if thats the problem.

also i think i should mention ive been driving on a bad right cv axle since the start of this thread ( right side ) and im suprised its still holding together lol. the tick is not from that.. obviously. its something with the engine it might be something with the egr..

Did you check your main seals? Front and rear?

Convenienze
01-15-2012, 02:19 PM
i took a glance, didnt see it coming from there it looked like it was only the pan. but maybe it could be the oil pump behind the timing belt cover?

also im thinking of buying a swap when i get my taxes. if i get enough back for a b swap. then expect some nice updates to her :P
ill have my friends dad make me some mounts.

obdriver6
01-15-2012, 11:17 PM
It might be from there. I took me a while before I figured my oil leak was coming from the oil pump. I first thought it was the front seal but when I removed all the covers I found out it was the pump, so I replaced it and the timing belt at the same time. It was around the same time I switched to synthetic so that could be your problem. Hope you get enough for a swap! If you do I think you might be the first coupe with a B-series but I might be wrong.

hmm.. the leak i still have might not be as bad as i thought.. still not positive though.
turns out my power steering has sprung a leak somewhere more than just a little from the rack.

ill have to wait till i see dark oil drips, if they keep the clear color ill know for sure.
cause new oil and power steering fluid look alike.
and ofcourse when i changed the pan i put new oil in it..
have to drive it for a couple more days and ill know for sure.

I've got the windows tinted, 15 on the front & 30 all around the back. Put a new cv axle on the right, changed, the fuel filter, oil filter and took the lip off. Thinking about getting it painted stock color all the way around and painting the window trim. Engine bay is going to be cleaned up, getting some headers and all that other good stuff. I'll post pics of what it looks like now, tomorrow. Not much of a difference, but still.
