Since I started to drive my Accord, I noticed that it was always leaking a bit of oil. For the last 2 weeks or so, I noticed that I didnt leave a puddle of oil around anymore. Today after changing the oil, I noticed that it came back. Before I go and change out parts, I know for a fact that everything on the motor has less then 10,000km on it, so it could be just failed parts from new.
I decided to check out how much pressure my crankcase was producing. For comparison sake, my old 89 Corolla with around 800,000km was just spraying air out like the car was an air compressor. When I checked out my Accord, it was just a little puff of air each time a cylinder fired.
How much pressure should escape when the oil fill cap is open while the engine is running? I know the PCV system is supposed to relieve it of pressure, but is it supposed to be under a slight vacuum?
