fmn716

apparently there is some rust but none on the structural parts

Cant stop counting the days till I see her !!!

The funniest thing about this car is I paid $450 and to get a flat bed to deliver it 1700km costs me $400 lol

But still I reckon will get my money worth from her even if I need to scrap it, ludes normally go for about $3000 for average condition, so all I need is get her to an acceptable condition.

Spoke to 3GCVC( Alex ) and I am very tempted to go with a manual especially since I have read his builds on pp.com and ofcoarse AccordB20A lol

I have a serious problem !!!

The car will be delivered to me in 2 days and already it has an option part for it lol

I am sure you know what this is and how rare it is :)

Great find. You got it for good price too. 1700km delivery for $400? It's quite a deal!

Yip,I must say I was surprised, they went to collect the car on car carrier truck and I told the guy a few times that the car was not running next thing I get a call saying he is at the guys place and they dont fetch cars not running so I am like bullshit !!!, I told you and sent your wife a link to the car in the classifieds where it said that the car was not running

Anyways the guy who sold it to me (Paul) and the driver pushed the car up the flatbed because there was no tow hitch on the truck and this car also had flat tyres

I must say that paul has been very helpful with this whole deal, as for the towing company you are idiots !!!

awaiting delivery on Thursday :)

Gonna take some pics

Got the CAR !!!

Well finally it has arrived and its been hectic getting it just before I left work a server crashed and my boss was implying that I must stay there but he could see my mind was somewhere else lol

I never thought the car would be in this kind of condition, I suppose it is more exciting to make it running now

So here are the pics and plenty of them

I went to fetch the driver of the truck to follow me and all I could see was my accord, my heart was racing all I wanted is to play with my new project lol

here it is on the truck

http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Condition%20Received/Exterior/SNC00032.jpg

Well after moving the other 2 cars off the truck it was time for the accord, first off brakes were locked and we pushed it all the way down and into my carport FML!!!

and while it was going down the dude mounts the pavement as it rolled so fast, but all was ok

So here is the engine pics

cool to see another ca3 here.
you my friend are pretty game to take on that much rust.
i would be taking everything Si off it , including the chassis number and build plate and whacking it all on a clean lesser model ca accord.
good luck

I am not sure what you mean by arm rest I think its the console I want an armrest. Maybe the usdm and jdm have different centre consoles

I know lots of body work need to cut and weld in alot of places !!!

Removed all the parts that were lying in the engine bay

http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Engine/DSCN0363.jpg

Further Inspection the block had so much muk in it due to it having the head and left outside for about a year

Well I decided to test something...

My lude will not be using its sleeve over and shocks setup

So I thought try it

First off I thought the ludes were difficult to work on but B20A accords a new level of HARD !!!

So it is using 2G lude GR2 Shock (about .5cm shorter ) and 90-93 Megan Racing Sleeve Overs

Before
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0330.jpg

After
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0342.jpg
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0372.jpg

Didnt take a pic of the rear but I did a 40mm drop, but only on the one side had to go visit the GF...
But this is how the rear sits and it is very similar to the front
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0369.jpg

Car looks odd due to the 1 shock only been done
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0368.jpg

I have the 2 piston Brakes
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0331.jpg
http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww237/fmn716/Builds/3G%20Accord%20Build/Workings/Suspension/DSCN0334.jpg

Brakes are seized and rusted and car has a shit load of rust on the body work and if I cant find a Import motor for this car I might call it quits... :(

if you don't have serious connections or abilities yourself to fix all that rust i would take all the rare parts from the interior and whatever you can salvage elsewhere and junk it.

Thought about it long and hard on what to do here

left for work telling myself its time to let her go

But when I got back from work and look by while entering the house I had second thoughts

So...

I told myself if the has no rust on the chassis I will keep her

So here are the shots I took tonight :)

Also tonight was the COLDEST night we have experienced for winter but I had to see

Conclusion
*Chassis had some surface rust/dust NO bubbles or holes
*Front and Rear Suspension can be saved needs to be removed and sand blasted
*Sill lip had some rust nothing major
*Seems like I will only need the body pieces to weld in to fix this issue which I am sure Alex can do for me

All I need to do know is find B20A motor here and fire her up

Thanks for the above comments made me unsure about this lol

take the motor to the machine shop and have it rebuilt? Not sure if you have a local one near or not in africa-good luck though.
