EGR Problem...

Hello 3GEEZ!!!

Last week I changed my EGR Valve because I had got a Code 12, but I am still getting that code. Does anybody know the next step in narrowing down the problem?

I'm not worried about the smog test because in the state of TX once your car reaches 24 years old, you no longer need the emission section, only the safety section.

I just want the engine light off so I don't get confused if something else goes wrong...

follow the vac lines that go to the black box, there's a sensor inside there with a small filter, this needs to be cleaned with some compressed air. Other than that it could be the vac diaphragm.

Where is this vac diaphram located? Are you talking about the one on top of the charcoal canister?
