on a not so common basis i'll be taking a turn and the engine will act like it has more stress on it then normal and my ps goes out for a short period of time, usually comes back when i complete the turn. Is that a bad sign of me loosing PS? or is it just some weird problem that comes with age?

How is the tension on your PS belt? Mine acted weird when the belt wasn't tensioned enough.

I've the same problem. It should be the belt, it happened after I changed the belt til now. I still haven't looked at it.
Check the belt tension

do you have alot of oil sprayed under the hood ???? (like just above the pulley)

ok, open the hood, and you should see the pump on the top. that is your steering pump. it should have V shaped belt.
if you look at the main pully on the engine it will be the farthest out. the frist belt connects the water pump and alternator, second connects AC and the last one connects the steering wheel pump.
you will need some kind of prybar or i used the tire wrench that comes with our car. i wedge it between AC and PS pump and push it down, it should stratch the belt, than just tighten the bolts and you are done.
