First photoshoot of my ex-i in years... b-swap complete

Well, it had been nearly two years since I had driven my Accord after parking it in the fall of 2009 with the intent of performing a b-series swap. Well, limited funds, damn cold winter with no insulated garage, and some other issues let to the car sitting for some time without a lot of anything being done to it. Eventually I started to get some work done on the car with the help of some friends, the build thread can be seen in the link in my sig...

Well, this past January I got offered a job 1200 km away from home which i jumped on. Unfortunately this left me with little hope of ever getting the Accord back on the road as I no longer have the space to work on a big project like that at my new place. Luckily I had some friends willing to take on the completion of the project at their new shop... http://lithiumautosport.com/
A few kinks came along the way, but in the end they pulled through and have left me with an Accord that runs awesome, and I am in love with her all over again!.... Anyways, a couple of weeks ago I flew home for a wedding, and picked up the car, then proceeded to drive it 1200km home with no kinks.

Lol, a very common question I get. Top one is the actual radio, bottom one is the display/controller for the equalizer.

Thanks.... I asked for simple and just carpet for the trunk. I got lexan, vinyl, and lots of good stuff. I love how it still has a sort of "oldschool" feel to it, even with newer gear. Battery was also relocated to behind the rear seat to clean up under hood.

No other shots of the bay right now, but I will get more shortly. It was getting dark and the bay shots I took didn't turn out at all.

I have the matching rears somewhere, which I want to put on, then it won't look so awkward.

I think the next step is to make the car more functional. Along with rear disk swap, and fixing the exhaust... I want to make my suspension setup a lot more functional.. I love how cool the car looks low, but I want to be able to beat on it hard through corners and such without tires rubbing and suspension bottoming out, it gets really annoying. Ksports are on my short list for parts to buy this winter.

Car is running great Messy. Turns out that the check engine light is for the VSS, and it turns out a friend's uncle here has a junkyard filled with honda parts, so he is going to find one for me.

I need to get an out of province inspection soon, along with going to aircare (emmisions testing) so I can register my car here in BC. I need to do a few things first, like get a cat put in the exhaust again, and fix the hole in my exhaust (mid pipe hangs a bit low and now has a hole in the resonator). And I will need to swap on my rear discs with some new pads and rotors.

So I have a bit of work ahead of me, but the car is fun to drive, and is overall running great so far. Also, when I don't drive the car like maniac, it is pretty good on gas too.

No real updates. Buying a new TV and some things for my apartment to make it feel more like home put mods for the car on the backburner a bit lately, this will change soon.

Only things removed from the engine bay were the vacuum box (not needed with swap), and cruise control (I'm not a fan of cruise)... Somehow my ex-i came from the factory with no A/C!... not sure how or why but i'm not complaining.

B-swap didn't bring me back!... in all honesty it almost put me out of the game... got to a point where it was off the road for so long and was tying up so much funds I almost parted it out... I had those mounts sitting in my basement FOREVER... I think I bought them in 2005?... :nuts::nuts:


Rear hubs for the rear discs are currently having new lower shock mount bushings pressed in, and ARP studs pulled in... Hopefully pick them up on the weekend and swap them on... our work Christmas party is this weekend though, so it could be a messy weekend for this.... Also need a new control module for pop-ups... mine are stuck up, and have narrowed it down to this problem! damnit~!... Also, I fricken love being able to drive this thing in December! hahaha

Thanks for the compliments. No real news on it right now. Been driving it a bit lately, still running great. Haven't had time to spend on it lately, and when I did last weekend all of the hoists were full at work. It looks like this coming saturday should be good for giving it some love though, so we shall see.
