I've been looking for coilovers for my 2g and haven't found any. Will the drop zone coilovers from the 86+ accord fit on the 2g's my friends say they will? Thank you

I would be cautious using 3g accord coilovers on any macpherson strut suspension Honda even if they fit.
The 3g< Accords, 4-6g Civic & 2-3g Integras are a double wishbone layout so they do not use their shock absorber struts to locate their wheels the way our cars do, hence the struts may be thinner and NOT designed to accept the sideways loads our cars could give them.

I'd be more comfortable trying a coil-over strut kit intended for a macpherson strut suspension layout car of similar weight like VW golf, Ford escort, Mazda 323 etc. its a far more common FWD layout than double wishbones anyway!

Makes sense thanks for the info, do you know of any that will fit my 2g? What do you have on your car? And this forum seems to be dead!!

Sadly I don't have any good recommendations to offer.
The lack of ideas & firm knowledge probably another reason your question didn't get much response.

I was vaguely looking at complete (standard) front struts from other cars I could try fitting to my 1g Accord just to see... My main requirement being the lower strut diameter (52mm? I can't remember off-hand), since our front (&rear) knuckle just clamps about this with a small dint to accommodate the pinch bolt and another tab of metal welded to the strut just above this to ensure correct location. The top mounting plates could probably be swapped for Honda items? Or alternatives made to allow camber adjustment.
VW golf mk1-3, Polo (3?) and related 90's Seat Ibiza looked possible ( and many others) but I really didn't look thoroughly or follow through.

Kits can also apparently be bought to weld to existing struts to allow adjustable platforms for such standard sized aftermarket "coilover" springs if you have an idea of the spring rate to buy, and obviously you would also then want new, quality adjustable shock-absorbers to suit.

Thanks for your knowledge, I've decide I'm just going to get some stock old school wheels to replace my hub caps. Maybe fat fives or even older. And jhust save up/keep researching for such lowering system. And any tips on of to keep/fix rust. Just wondering since your car looks so clean
