Hello all. and thank you in advance for any input.

I recently purchased a tuscany taupe accord se-i sedan with a little over
300,000 mile on it . It runs decent enough but there are signs of previous serious overheating. Also tranny and motor fluids were sludge. Changed fluids and took care of the overheating problem. Car runs fines but at 300k I'm thinking maybe I should just rebuild as a preventative measure. So this leed to my question. Does anyone know of a respectable machine shop in southern california or surrounding areas? Thanks again.

I know a couple shops.. But they're performance shops.. Why not try going to a junkyard and looking around for a low mileage engine instead???

Yeah I thought of that but and the JY you never know who did what with it. If something goes wrong then Id be kicking myself for not just reuilding and having peace of mind from the beginning. Those shops you know of , are they reasonable price wise? Thanks for the response.

Honestly, no. They're pricey...
